It was closed on opening day of UB

This review is a mistake but the place looked nice even though there is no parking.

Yey's

Yey's is a pretty cool place. The atmosphere is nice. The owner is nice. The food is pretty darn good too. We ordered some special "egg" rolls for a party and they were amazing. I appreciate the changing specials. Very quick too!

Pros: quick, good food

Cambodian fast-casual w/ vegan choices in small comfortable setting

Cozy spot on the corner of Winspear & Main near UB South Campus. Modern, simple, and colorfully decorated. Order from the menu on the wall, pay at the counter, and sit down. The menu is fairly simple. Certain dishes on the menu can be veganized or you can look up their vegan menu on their website to see it all in one place.

Got the chickpea seitan “Red Curry Wings”...which were 6 giant fritters tossed in aromatic red curry sauce. An assortment of Cambodian-flavor hot sauces on the table added some nice extra punch (the vinegary habanero was my fave).

Also tried the vegan version of the Khmer Slaw. Don’t know what makes the original version not vegan (probably fish sauce), but the woman at the counter made sure to ask which version I wanted. It was crunchy and full of sprouts, cilantro, a tangy vinegary sauce.

The seitan was way too much food for one sitting, so I ordered another side of slaw to go with it for dinner later.

Very tasty...appreciated the care in offering & pointing out the vegan options (even added their own extra labels to the hot sauces to denote which ones very vegan and which on had fish sauce in it). Can’t wait to come again & try the babaw, num pang seitan sandwich, and tapioca banana pudding!

Pros: Colorful, relaxed atmosphere, Delicious flavors, Decent Prices

Cons: Too small for larger groups
