Dissappinting - Edit
I had the marinara pizza made in the traditional style so asked them to not include anchovies . It was tasteless. It was covered in garlic but it must be a catering, minced variety as there was no flavour. The cherry tomatoes didn't taste of much
Read moreBreakfast was further let down by awful service. We had to ask numerous times for vegan butter and vegan sausages. The sausages are Katerveg brand so minced vegetables in breadcrumbs-not sausages. Everything is deep fried even the hash browns.

Nice atmosphere - Edit
Had the falafel burger which was okay but nothing special. Another couple of options including a vegetarian pie. All pizzas available as vegan apparently. Midweek meal deal offers available. Lively atmosphere.

Standard English pub. Good beer choice - Edit
In an town without a lot of vegan options they offered two mains. A falafel burger and mushroom risotto I think. There's a good beer choice but not sure which are vegan. Was busy on Saturday

Good pub - Edit
Good pub, fairly busy. Vegan burgers weren't the best I'd ever had but good for a little place with not a lot of choice. The pizzas looked good and they had vegan cheese!

So-so - Edit
Very nice staff but underwhelming vegan option (a burger). Wouldn’t recommend as a destination but if you have no other options at least they do some vegan things !

Brilliant Vegan Pizza - Edit
There was only one chef on. It was a very busy night in July and we had a very, very long wait but certainly worth it. Amazing, delicious and the chef certainly went out of his way to cater for us.

No vegan options on lunch menu and no vegan burgers in stock - Edit
Travelled to here based on menu and found out they didn't have their vegan option in stock. Don't bother, not very well equipped for vegans.

Glorified Tourist Trap - Edit
Stayed in the village for a week in May 2021, upon the lifting of covid restrictions. Delighted to find vegan options on their menu, we stepped in and were instructed to take a seat. We ordered two Moving Mountains Vegan Burgers (£13 each) and a couple of beers.
Read moreThe burgers were hands-down the worst vegan burgers I’ve ever had, at a price comparable to the most expensive. If you’d have told me they’d be left out on the side for a day before serving, I would have believed you. When I mentioned to the wait staff that our meal wasn’t good and that the burgers were dry, I was met with an apathetic “sorry about that” as they gleefully took my payment. Instead of any recompense, I was offered 10% off if I returned with my receipt (this offer was not special, it was for anyone returning). I’d rather [censored] in my hands and clap than go back.

Menu looked good, but they didn't seem to understand vegan - Edit
Asked for the vegan pizza, they had to check and didn't have any, but we do have gluten free, couldn't guarantee it was vegan, left and went to the bluebird cafe and had a wonderful vegan cauliflower pie instead.

Decent vegan pub food! - Edit
I didn't expect to find much in the way of vegan food in Coniston so I was amazed to find this place, which actually had more than one main option for vegans! We went twice and I had the delicious Moving Mountains burger both times, but on the seasonal menu there was also the option of Thai green vegetable curry for a main and the option of a pizza with vegan cheese. A little on the expensive side but I left stuffed both times and it was so great to find somewhere accommodating in such a small place.

Really impressed - Edit
There were a couple of vegan options on the menu (clearly labelled) including a pizza with vegan cheese and a burger. It was honestly the best pizza I’ve ever had! The staff were lovely also. Just be careful with the time you go as the serving time for food are very specific.

Clearly marked vegan options - Edit
Visited here yesterday. A lovely pub with clearly marked vegan options on the menu.
Read moreI had parsnip bhajis with a coconut dressing for starter and a butternut squash and white bean chilli with wild rice and guacamole for main. Both were really tasty and filling as they were good portions.
My husband had focaccia and olives with dipping oil to start and a Mediterranean pizza with vegan cheese. Again good portions and looked really tasty.
Would definitely recommend. They normally have a vegan option for pudding too but they are currently switching menus so it seems to be missing at the moment. Online it listed one which was a crumble cake with custard.
Pros: Clearly marked options , Tasty!, Good portions
