Worst dinner ever, ants in bread, old food - Edit
We went there to have some vegetarian options in Santander and because we found some good reviews about it. We were the only ones there, there were ants coming out of the bread (and when we told that we got "new" bread, from which also ants were coming out), the old and bad tasting food came directly from the microwave -- we can only hope that we don't get sick.
It was without any exaggeration the worst dinner ever.

nice and alternative in conservative Santander - Edit
I've been a couple of times with omnivores friends and I've always found a meat-free or fish-free option. I think their vegetarian "hojaldre" (savory pastry filled with veggies) is the best. Service is very nice and the atmosphere has an evident and proud leftwing decoration. Good value for money.

Cons: don't know is vegan friendly, difficult to reach if you move by car
