Excellent local food. - Edit
Reservation is required as the host needs to prepare in advance.
Read moreWe had village food for lunch, all vegan, although we noticed a pile of eggshells in the kitchen. The host confirmed all food served are vegan. We explicitly explained that we are vegan and do not eat dairy and eggs as the word ‘vegan’ is not widely understood in Vietnam and often used with vegetarian without clear distinction. There was a dish with tofu skin rolled with nori which was incredibly good. We also had what looked like chicken drumsticks with lemongrass as bones, which were exceptional.
We always had coffee for breakfast as it was very tasty. I tried bread with tofu, pyramid dumplings and brown rice dumplings for breakfast. All three were good, but my favorite was the brown rice dumplings because of the thick chewy dough.

Delicious home made food - Edit
We stayed at Yên homestay and had several breakfasts and lunch from here. The food was amazing.

My favourite here is the coffee (slightly sweetened and so delicious). I ate banh mi for breakfast every morning, my partner also tried the dumplings: brown rice and pyramid. It was also super tasty and healthy. The crispy corn is a nice snack and quite spicy if you eat a lot at once.
The lunch is always a home made plate of food, no menu just get served what there is, and it’s always delicious. Wish we could eat here every day. I miss the food already
