Delicious! - Edit
Was thrilled to find such a delicious vegan bakery! The bagel breakfast sandwiches were good. The biscuit was amazing. Wish they made breakfast sandwiches with those! The desserts were a rare vegan find that taste better than regular baked goods. Heard they were thinking of expanding. Really hope they do! I hope for MD!

Delicious breakfast sandwiches and donuts! - Edit
The food was delicious. My husband and I had the sausage, cheese and egg sandwiches, one on a bagel and one on a biscuit. They were both filling and amazing. My husband enjoyed the chocolate sprinkled donut too.

The Best Wedding Dessert Spread! - Edit
Yellow Rose catered my wedding reception last summer, and they did a phenomenal job! We wanted a dessert station, rather than the traditional tiered cake for our reception, and Yellow Rose was able to provide us with multiple flavors of donuts, bars, cookies, cupcakes, and a small cake to cut. The dessert bar was a huge hit! Some standouts loved by our guests were the red velvet donuts, brownies, cookies n' cream blondies, funfetti cookies, lemon cupcakes, and our small cake for cutting which was lemon berry flavored! The whole team was wonderful to work with, and they worked closely with us to make sure our final spread was just what we envisioned. They also offered delivery and setup for a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend Yellow Rose for your next event!

so many great options! - a bit burnt - Edit
It may have just been today since I know they were slammed with thanksgiving, though I was disappointed with the burned flavor. I got the crème brûlée donut and I know you torch sugar for that but the flavor of burnt was overpowering. The filling on the inside was not especially sweet which was sad since the dough wasn't either. Similarly, the bottom of my croissant was a little burnt but I pulled off the bottom and it was great otherwise! I thought the plain glazed donut was very good and doughy, unlike any other vegan donut I have had. I really liked the egg/cheese/sausage bagel (the bagel is more so a chewy roll but I really enjoyed nonetheless). Great atmosphere and great staff. Fair pricing

Amazing!! - Edit
It’s this small little unsuspecting bakery, essentially in the middle of a residential neighborhood. This is the first time i’ve gone but the second time trying their food, and I can’t wait to go back again bc everything i’ve eaten has been CRAZY GOOD! so far i’ve tried:
Read moreApple Cider Donut
S’mores Brownie
Regular Brownie
Cinnamon Roll
Chocolate Banana Muffin
idk if I can even pick a favorite they were all so good!! (but if I HAD to, I would probably say the apple cider donut w the cinnamon roll close behind)
Definitely recommend stopping by here! I’m gonna try a savory item next time😄

Best bakery for the money - Edit
I was there twice in a week this past week. The first time I ordered about $60 worth of food and the second time I ordered about $40 worth of food.
Read moreThey have a good assortment of goodies. They have the usual scones, cookies, bars, and donuts. They also have premade breakfast sandwiches and a full coffee selection.
I have been to Papa Ganache and Vegan Treats, and this Yellow Rose bakery is just as good. The prices are better than the two other bakeries I mentioned. The Yellow Rose does not have as big of a selection of donuts or any cakes, but what they do have is a good enough variety of goodies.
I probably had a sample of at least half of their offerings and all of them were very good. Everything was vegan and they even had gluten free products. Someone came in while I was there and had a host of food allergies. I am not sure what they ordered, but they were able to purchase something. They have coffee, tea, and other drinks. The place had customers constantly coming in while I was there both times. It is set in a nice neighborhood. Too bad there is not one in my neighborhood.
Pros: Good variety, Breakfast sandwiches, good prices
Cons: It is a small space- they make it work.

Everything is vegan and kosher! We particularly loved the Ham and cheese croissant, the Strawberry donut with sprinkles, and the Banana chocolate chip muffin. Also, their coffee and their hot cocoa (with marshmallows) are really good! Super recommend.

It was hard choosing just one item, so we left with as much as our stomachs could hold! The quiche was so delicious! As we’re the breakfast sandwiches and bakery items. Highly recommend if you’re in the Maplewood area.

Loved it! - Edit
I will definitely be back again whenever I’m in the area. So nice that this place is 100% vegan so I can pick ANYTHING from the menu! I got a cinnamon roll and a raspberry shortcake. The shortcake was mind blowing because it tasted exactly like the shortcake I used to make as a non-vegan teenager and haven’t had in decades now! Plenty of seating inside and outside.

Decent vegan baked goods - Edit
I finally got to try Yellow Rose after seeing their posts since they opened. The bakery is cute and was very crowded when I went. It is in a cluster of stores in a residential area.
Read moreI tried the donuts, poptart, and cinnamon roll.
The items had a homemade vibe as opposed to a commercial bakery feel. For a lot of people, this is appealing.
I was most looking forward to the doughnuts, but I was slightly disappointed and wouldn't go back for them. They would be better if they were less greasy, less heavy, and did not taste like nutmeg (especially doesn't go well with chocolate IMO). Not sure why vegan places like to put nutmeg in doughnut dough (Dotties in Philly has the same issue). I consider this a homemade style doughnut, and again I'm sure there are many fans of this style.
The poptart pastry was very thick and I didn't love the taste of the big blob of strawberry jam, but overall, it was fine, just surprising that they'd go with such thick slabs of pastry.
The cinnamon roll was okay - reminded me of my own attempts at making them. Tastes okay but doesn't really achieve that appealing dough texture. It's hard to make really good vegan enriched yeast dough.
On a positive note, all of the glazes/icings on the items were great.
Overall, the dough/pastry recipes could use a bit of refinement perhaps. The stuff is okay to good according to my very particular preferences, but I definitely recommend everyone try the baked goods for themselves because lots of other people seem to love it. It just wasn't for me.

Cool spot - Edit
Very cool spot for breakfast. Their “egg taylor ham and cheeze” tasted close to the original but I felt the bagel was way too chewy, probably better on a different bread. Pastries were pretty good. Also had the lavender lemonade and I liked it even though I’m not a huge lemonade fan.

Limited hours&food - Edit
Running a small business is hard but being open only for half days, half of the week... I am not sure how they make it. I was excited to try this place. The vibe was great, the decor and the games. I am not sure what time I came in but it wasn’t early in the morning and by the time I came in a lot of the food from the limited menu was already sold out. I got a sandwich with just egg and some kind of vegan meat (beyond I think) basically something I could have assembled easily myself with packaged ingredients from Whole Foods, and maybe the bread was actually baked in the café I don’t know. I also got and did not like my pastry (and I generally love sweet pastries). If I go back here it would be for a drink and to hang out and play games, not in the hopes of having a nice filling lunch.

Love this place! Amazing donuts- especially Boston cream- to die for!! Their crumb cakes are delicious too. My hubby is a big fun of brownies and cookies (double chocolate and pb stuffed cookies are his favorite 😋). Menu is rotating so you can’t always get what you’ve tried previously. Can’t wait to try their sandwiches and pop tarts!!

A gem in NJ! - Edit
I remember hearing about this place when they were first getting started, and DROOLING! Unfortunately with the pandemic, I couldn’t bring myself to get to the storefront when they opened in December. Now, post-vaccine, I’ve been 3 times in the last 3 weeks! This place was certainly worth the wait. Their baked goods just melt in your mouth, and are rich of flavor. They reeled me in with the Earl Gray Lavender scone, and solidified my loyalty with their doughnuts!
Read moreI have been vegan for years, and their strawberry crumb muffin brought me back to a good place! I couldn’t believe how nostalgic and flavorful it was.
I like trying new things every time I go, and have even gotten my friends hooked onto this place. My next conquest is the beloved biscuits.
I think everything is fairly priced given the great quality you receive!
The staff is always super friendly when I pick up my orders, and the owners seem sweet based on their social media.
The storefront is painted an adorably welcoming shade of yellow, and is nestled into the cutest area neighboring thrift/consignment shops. It’s also located right along the South Mountain reservation, and Turtleback Zoo loop, if you want to bring your treats with you and hang out in nature.
Overall, I love this place! I’m planning on having them make a cake for my birthday next month. My boyfriend and I also “joke” that they Must cater our wedding. :)
Check them out!!!
Pros: Wide variety of products, Great staff, Delicious!!

I have ordered 4 times from Yellow Rose Vegan, everything is delicious! My favorite are the scones.I sent a box to each of my two children and they thought so to. Everything is so good but not too sweet. The shipping was great, I like how they wrap up each item in plastic wrap. They stay fresh for days and are very easy to freeze and defrost. Prices reasonably.
