Plastic in the food - Edit
A very average meal that we could have made ourselves. We found plastic in our food and still had to pay for the contaminated tacos.

Quick stop to Yaikame - Edit
My friend and I stopped at Yaikame before leaving Sayulita. We saw from happy cow that they had vegan plates. So we ordered the plates and it was a perfect portion for sharing. This probably was the best food we had around town and I’d highly recommend going!! #Veganuary

Da beans, Da Beans - Edit
The vegetarian platter is vegan and really good. Very impressed with presentation and flavor. Them beans were lovely.
Read moreThe wait was managed poorly and seating was awkward as they seated us then waited to take our order then they were going to move us but then decided not to move us. Lots of confusion over who was next to be seated.
Still loved the food. Not on the beach as one review stated. Non stop cars and carts.
Pros: Flavor, Presentation, Knowledge of vegan food
Cons: Limited seating , Super noisy — lots of horns and honking , Scattered service

Yes, Blue Corn Tacos - Edit
Like everyone, I’ve had the Vegetarian Plate for 200$. I assume it is sufficient to share, but if you’re REALLY hungry, then go for it for yourself. Guacamole/Salsas were great

Would do 5 stars if able - Edit
So only 4 stars b/c not entirely vegan, but the vegetarian platter is incredible. Basically blue corn tortillas with several different fillings that are all delicious. I think I’ll be back.

Good find - Edit
Beans are really good. My boyfriend and I would just pick up sides of beans and rice to go with a side of their fresh made tortillas. Great. My boyfriend has a lava mouth as he says, and he said they have the hottest salsa. My boyfriend also got to eat their veggie taco platter and loved it.

Delicious tacos - Edit
We grabbed tacos, guac, chips and beans and they were delicious! There are three types of tacos: mushroom, poblano pepper and corn and Mexican potatoes. The tacos are made with blue corn which is so cool! And the black beans and guac were super tasty. Comes with Serrano and Chipotle sauces. Very authentic and reasonably priced. They have outdoor seating and it’s close to the beach

Pure vegan deliciousness - Edit
Although this restaurant isn’t fully vegan, they have amazing vegan options. They are willing to make anything vegan or vegetarian. We were in heaven, from the handmade blue corn tortillas to the chilaquiles to the variety of salsas, pure heaven, AND all for $150 pesos! To top it off we were given a complimentary tequila shot, you know because it’s good for digestion. :)

Super tasty traditional veg Mexican foods - Edit
The vegetarian platter (which is vegan) was delicious and shared filled up two hungry people. The platter included guacamole, potatoes, refried beans, corn with pepper strips, mushrooms, and nopales all served with fresh blue corn tortillas made in house and a few salsas and onions with habaneros. It was super tasty. They also have four or five vegan taco options and a vegan stuffed chile on the menu that we didn’t try today.

Flavorful and decent portions. - Edit
Got the vegetarian plate for 185. Compared to older reviews a few months ago, the prices seem to have gone up considerably. Still it was filling and enough For two people.

Sooo yummy traditional Mexican - Edit
Great little sitdown restaurant right on the main drag. Excellent vegan options! Many are very clearly labeled as “vegetarian” that are in fact vegan. Make sure just to specify no cheese or cream, but the staff was very aware and we had no issues finding several amazing options.

Delicious, traditional food of ancient Mexico - Edit
My partner and I (both long-time vegans) found this spot last year and couldn't wait to come back to try it again this visit. This place is very veggie-friendly, with more vegan options then I've seen at any other non-veggie restaurant in this part of Mexico. All the food is made with ultra-fresh ingredients and lots of love and pride. It's not the fatty, salty Mexican comfort food we can find elsewhere- rather, this is good that is reflective of more ancient culinary traditions here in Aztlan. The vegetarian "Mexican Plate" is both delicious and massive- can easily feed 2-3 people. The Aztec soup is delicious though I personally am not super into nopales so mostly ate the broth. Last year we tried the huitalacoche (corn fungus) soup, which is a delicacy for many though our gringo palettes weren't that into it. And the pumpkin seed enchiladas can be made vegan and are really great (and filing) as well. Definitely come hungry and be ready to take leftovers of there aren't a lot of you. Buen provecho!
