They have a lot of vegan choices, the massaman curry is one of the best I ever had. I have gluten allergy and they were able to adjust the recipes and make a lot of dishes gluten free (not all of them though).

Best Pad Thai Ever - Edit
Get a motorcycle and come here immediately!! The food here is amazing. I had vegan pad thai ( best I’ve ever had ) 50 baht and the tofu Penang rice plate 60 baht. Absolutely incredible. I’ll be eating here several more times this week for sure 😎

The most INCREDIBLE tofu - Edit
Would give this place 5* if I could. After hearing a lot of people recommend Yawee, I had to try it for myself and my goodness was I not disappointed! During our time in Koh Lanta we visited 3 times, once at lunchtime and twice in the evening (when sadly the food took a while to come). My favourite dish was by far the Fried Tofu with Massaman Curry! #Veganuary

INSANE! They BEST tofu i have ever tasted! We had the garlic an pepper tofu and massaman curry tofu! Could eat the curry over and over again! Only 140 baht for both dishes!

Tried the vegan Pad Thai, the massaman curry tofu & the garlic and pepper tofu which were all sooo good!! I would order the massaman curry and ask for extra sauce the next time. Highly recommend trying these dishes, will definitely come back.

This is the best tofu dish I have ever had (and I live in Thailand and order tofu daily!!) we got the garlic pepper tofu (it was AMAZING). The friend tofu massaman, stir fried veggies and mango sticky rice were also very tasty. They also have a lovely cat 🐱 I’m gonna come back to Lanta just for this tofu

I was so surprised when I saw the big selection of vegetarian/vegan food. I mean the dishes are the same as in every other Thai restaurant on the island but how they cook and serve the food is just so much better. It overjoyed me that I had crispy Tofu once to the Massaman curry. I'm not even a big curry eater but this meal was outstanding. Don't come here without trying that once. I still can't believe that I only paid 70 Baht for this big portion.

Best vegan food on the island in relation to the price. Extremely cheap, it even feels bad to pay such little amount for such big and good dishes. The vegan pad thai with tofu only costs 50bth!! Order the vegan rice with masaman curry and tofu, it’s delicious! They even have desderts. We’ve been here three days and already came back twice. The staff is also really nice.

The food was so good; and the seating area was large and charming. It was pouring rain while we waited, and it was very peaceful watching life go by from under the shelter. We ordered Panaeng tofu, massaman curry, yellow curry, and pad Thai, all vegan-they were all excellent. For dessert, we got the pineapple fritters with chocolate sauce, which were yum. The staff had a very good understanding what vegan meant.

Best food in Koh Lanta, the owners are very nice and care about vegan customers and wishes. They already have vegan dishes on their menu and also make everything vegan if you want, even the pancakes. We ate here at least once a day during our stay in koh lanta and loved it!

I had pad thai and fried morning glory here and especially the morning glory was delicious. Also my friends liked their vegan foods. The prices seem to be cheaper than in other restaurants that have similar menu, except other restaurants don´t usually have such a good vegan section, if they have it at all. ¨
Read moreYawee is not a fancy restaurant, instead it is an open air restaurant by the main road near Lanta Animal Welfare with no interior design or other things that usually make restaurants more expensive. This place concentrates on good Thai food.
When we got there by sunset the place had only a few customers, but in about 15 minutes it got full. Then it took a long time to get our food. So maybe the place gets crowded during sunset (high season only, on low season many places close because there is not much tourists). I visited Yawee in February 2020.

This was our favourite place to eat in Koh Lanta. I still can't believe how much food we got for such a cheap price and just how good it was! They even serve vegan milkshakes for 50-60 baht. 😍 Fried tofu with massaman curry was our favourite and only 50 baht per serving. And the staff are very polite and friendly. Will definitely come here again when we return to Koh Lanta!
