I had the mushroom risotto and it was - hands down - the best risotto i‘ve ever had! This was pure perfection - so definitely take this if you‘re up for pure deliciousness. 😅 as Appetizer we shared the vegan feta in oat crust which was also on point.

The best vegan moussaka - Edit
I asked them if they had some vegan dishes, the lovely and kind staff immediately got me their vegan menu full of amazing Greek dishes. I chose the vegan moussaka, I’ve never had it, so it was a first, and I must say, wow. They even put a little salad on the side. Truly delicious, flavourful.

As you walk in the city of Zakynthos there is a restaurant stationed between some streets.
Read moreThis restaurant does not have a large Vegan menu, but still has several options.
It was not clear at first what could be made Vegan on the physical menu. The menu is also available on there website (marking with 'VG' what's Vegan). There are some dishes that are not shown on the website which could be made Vegan as well. If you ask a waiter they can perfectly tell what items can be made either Vegetarian or Vegan.
The dishes we ate:
Starter: Feta in Oat Crust (is not shows on the menu as Vegan, but can be made so).
Main dish 1: Quinoa Trilogy
Main dish 2: Moussaka

Best Meal in the Ionians - Edit
We traveled 6 weeks in the Ionian and as vegans we struggled to have a food experience like others in our party were able to have. I wanted to give this a 5 star but the app won’t let me. Many delicious vegan options and beautiful presentation.

Very nice restaurant with a vintage atmosphere. There are two parts: a yard outside and a room inside (only for vaccinated people). When we arrived the tables outside were already taken or reserved so I suggest to book in advance if you want to stay outside.The menu offers vegan options and the food is very good. The quinoa salad is fantastic and the crispy chickpeas divine !

The service was amazing, we contacted them before we get there, and they were very excited that vegans are going there. We got 'feta' in crispy oats(delicious) and vegam moussaka which was very nice as well and for dessert we got banofee. Totally recommended, call them before you go because was very busy

Do not go here for vegan food! I went to Taste of Yards with really high expectations. I was a bit shook by the prices knowing I have been eating good vegan Greek food for some items even half the price. So I decided to order a simple quinoa salad for €11, nothing can go wrong with that right? It was the size of a biscuit and it happened to be drowned in dressing. I hate wasting food but this was disgusting and I could not eat it. It was too busy (and hot), so I assume that is why the waiter did not check up on our food. Once my boyfriend had finished his food we decided to pay the bill and leave the restaurant, still feeling very hungry and without any compensation from the waiter, even though I told him nicely I did not like it when he took my plate (still full). There are so many nice places to eat vegan food in Zakynthos which have amazing service and charge you little. (Panos / Akropolis / Sizzle bang). The Taste of Yards is too expensive, bad quality food and bad service. The water was great though.

Yard of taste is a super nice location with great atmosphere! Yuta the owner is super charming and sweet and happy to just vegans. Most of the dishes can be turned to vegetarian or vegan and the service is amazing. We had a lot of fun and barely walked out since we are soooo much!

Delicious Vegan Flavours - Edit
We enjoyed a lovely three-course vegan meal. For starters, we had a deliciously spiced wrap, vegan moussaka as main and finished off with peanut butter flavoured dessert. Besides the food, the restaurant was very cosy. I had the feeling that a lot of thought had been put into the food and the decorations. We spoke to the owner who was really nice. She told us that she is vegan and is aiming to gradually introduce more and more vegan food.

Read moreVegatarian options are labelled on the menu - and most of them either are vegan or can be made vegan upon request. Everything is cooked fresh, so they will happily change any dish to your preference.
If you're vegetarian or vegan this is the place to visit on Zakynthos, even if you stay at the other end of the island!

Read more2. The Food was Next Level. We had the 3 colored quinoa salad, the Forest .. (don’t remember the name, it was a risotto) and the noodles with mushrooms (also don’t remember the name, sorry. But I’m sure whatever you order there, the taste will be out off this world!
Also he had a vegan chocolate dessert which was very nice.
Of course we came back the next day!

Myself and my omni boyfriend ordered the special starter and the special main, and it was amazing! My boyfriend usually doesn’t like vegan food but he said it was his favourite from the holiday so far. I mentioned vegan and the chef came out (who is the owner and is vegan) and told me all of the items on the menu that says VG on it can be made vegan. I decided to go with the specials and it was no mistake to do so, they were amazing!! I highly recommend this restaurant.
