Serves meat, vegan options available. Trendy atmosphere sports bar restaurant chain that offers 'gardein' faux chick'n in various dishes, plus some Beyond Meat products. (Restaurant states that some gardein products may contain eggs or dairy.) Note the company does not guarantee that food is strictly vegan, i.e. uses shared oil (deep frying with chicken), grill, and cookware. Decent options - Edit
Glancing at the menu, you would think there are only 2 choices, but in reality, you can sub the Gardein Chicken in several dishes. Good option in P&L district.

I love that Yard House offers various Gardein dishes vegan mozzarella! They have a vegan menu on their tabletop digital screens too.
Read moreWe ordered the Gardein BBQ Chicken Salad and Gardein Grilled Chicken and Avocado Sandwich off the vegan menu, however, BOTH arrived with dairy items despite the server saying they should arrive vegan by default. Be sure to specify NO dairy cheese/mayo/aoli/ranch/etc. I also read that as of June 2023 the sandwich buns should be swapped for gluten-free, which apparently is vegan.
The food here is tasty but you will need to check everything you order to make sure it is correct. Staff is happy to fix any wrong orders.

Multiple Veg options! - Edit
There are many ways to sub gardein chicken in any of the meals. It is a little difficult to know if the meal will be 100% vegan though. I opted for the beyond burger which was one of the options that was clearly labeled “vegan”. It was great! Good place to enjoy with friends!

There aren't a ton of vegan-friendly places in downtown KC that are walkable from my office. Yardhouse *IS* one of those places, and as such, I eat here probably 1-2x a week.
Read moreYou can sub gardein chik'n for (real) chicken in just about any of their dishes, I tend to get the Buffalo wings (dry/sauce on the side, 1-2 sauces is how I roll). There are a few other options as well, including the truffle fries (hold the parm or parm on the side)

Worth noting: they do have/use a shared frier/fryer so watch out for that if that is off-putting for your dietary requirements.
