I never really understood Thai food until I ate here. It made me instantly want to go to Thailand. It was fresh, complex, balanced, and shockingly delicious. The Khao Soi and Cashew Chicken are particularly good. I now understand what Thai food is supposed to be 😍🙏🏼 Thank you to the staff for the complimentary Thai Iced Milk Tea!

HIGH quality, delicious Thai food - Edit
I really love Yaowarat and wish I lived closer. The quality of the food is high. I haven't ordered any menu item that I didn't like– it has all been really great. Can't wait to try more. I highly recommend for anyone looking to get some Thai food!

This small place is definitely worth a visit. The food is delicious, there are great options (including without coconut). The ‘meats’ are great, as is the ‘vegan egg’. We will be back.

Visited over the weekend for a second time, we dined in this time. They did not disappoint!
The chicken satay appetizer was the perfect start, mock meat grilled just right, the dipping peanut sauce was very unique, a mixture of peanut butter and sweet&hot sauce.
Tom Kha soup was very flavourful, bar the coriander 😂 I would not hesitate to have another.
Pad See Ew was excellent, the noodles weren’t sticky. With a good mixture of vegetables and tofu, I can’t have enough!
The star of the mains had to be “chi Cheese Pla”, what made it stand out was the vegan fish made in house, it was unbelievably good! Soft to the bite, I must have tasted the universe!
Bualoy was pretty good, it’s basically black sesame sticky rice balls soaked in ginger tea. Be warned, the ginger flavour was very strong. I would be happy to try this again in winter 😆
Mango sticky rice was phenomenal. Sweet mango, creamy coconut milk, and the crunchy golden topping. What a dessert to finish a proper Thai dinner.
The chef was so nice, she offered us three complimentary Thai iced milk tea. True to the menu, deliciously sweet and creamy!
To me, Pineapple fried rice was the only dish that was a let down. It was made with Japanese curry roux cube, too much moist in the rice along with slightly under cooked just egg. And the pineapple was toooo sour. Maybe it is because that I wasn’t a fan of Hawaiian pizza?
Yaowarat is THE best vegan Thai restaurant I have visited in Canada so far. If you like spicy Asian food, you don’t want to miss this restaurant.

The only fully vegan Thai place I’m aware of in the city - staff gave us complimentary milk tea while we waited. The black sesame rice ball dessert was delicious, so was their vegan meat!

Have been dreaming of a Thai restaurant that would please all the tastebuds on my tongue. All corners of it. The sweet, the salty, the sour. At long last, I found it! This place did not disappoint in any way. The food was fresh and tasty and chock full of beautiful vegetables. Everything was cooked to perfection. Even the takeout containers were perfect! The customer service was top notch. Lots of friendliness and patience from the first phone call to pick up. Highly recommended!!

Amazing all vegan Thai food! - Edit
We recently tried this restaurant, ordering take out through a food service app. This is a family owned restaurant and the owners have been vegan for 10 years. We tried several of the dishes, including spring rolls, satay, panang curry, pad Thai, etc. All were delicious!! Most dishes contain tofu and mock meat. The owners added complimentary iced tea and dessert to our order which was very sweet.
