Best Syrian food with many vegan options - Edit
The restaurant is very popular for a reason. The food is very authentic and comes in large portions. There are many vegan starters, salads and desserts. We ordered fattoush, hummus, falafel, mutabal aubergine, babaganoush, mhamara and tabbouleh and everything was soo delicious! Will definitely come back.

Vibrant and popular! - Edit
My partner and I stopped here for an early dinner at about 4 30pm. It was very busy but there was only a short wait (less than 5 mins) It completely quietened down at 5pm.
Read moreWe were super hungry and ordered 2 lemon/mint soft drinks, 2 lentil soups, and 1 tabbouleh, fatoush, houmous, babaghanoush, falafel and chips.
Portions were great and they provided lots of bread for the dips.
The whole thing cost about 160DH for us both. So less than £15. Absolutely amazing value!
Staff were hit and miss. Malik (the guy on the door) was so friendly. Our first waitress was really grumpy and barely acknowledged us when we smiled and thanked her in Arabic for our cutlery. She was then replaced with a quiet but friendly lady who took our order in a mix of English and French. I started in French, she heard my English accent and clarified a word in English and we took it from there mixing it all up :)
Pros: Delicious food and huge portions , Excellent value, Vibrant atmosphere
Cons: Some staff were a bit surly - not too bad though!

Nice falafels - Edit
I got the 5x falafels, and the hummus. It came with 2 flatbreads. The falafels are quite big - I was definitely full. The hummus is decent and the falafels are really nice. Vegan options not labelled

Big portions and convenient location - Edit
I tried the big platter that I've seen recommended on here, and the lentils soup. They were good, but as the staff did not speak English it was difficult to make sure the food was vegan and not only vegetarian. The aubergine salad traditionally has mayo so I was a bit worried but except for that, good and cheap food.

Reasonable pricing. Packed venue. - Edit
The vegan and vegetarian options aren't clearly labelled. You're going to need to understand middle eastern food to navigate the Syrian menu. But, the food is excellent! We had felafel and dips and salad tonight. There was a short wait for a table. It's very popular.

Risky as a vegan - Edit
Bustling place. English waitresses available. All fairly polite. Cheap food. Quick service. I told them in French I don't eat animal products and they got the English waitress to confirm. I repeated 3 times that I don't have milk or cheese or eggs too as they kept saying vegetarian. I know there is a translation issue here so I understand. She said the tahini on the table was fine and came back 5 mins later to say it has 'only a little' bit of milk in it. We had started eating the hummus and then she said that the tahini inside it has milk but the hummus doesnt. I said so there's milk in this? she replied that no it is in the tahini which is inside it? Anyhow I had to then say it would make me sick if I have even a little. I hate saying that because I am vegan for ethical reasons but it's true and I was hungry. Although, I am gutted I had milk in my food. The bread was good and the falafel was good although I am not sure about how vegan that was either. It smelled a bit chicken like. If I returned it would only be for fries and juices. Risky as a vegan but this place would be fine if you were a vegetarian. The salads looked good.

Good Syrian food - Edit
Typical Syrian food in an authentic non touristic restaurant. Lots of vegan options falafel, humus, tabouleh.... (but you might only know, if you know Syrian food). The place is very popular so it's very crowded and you might have to wait.

Tasty falafel and friendly staff - Edit
It was one of the first restaurants that I visited in Rabat and I was happly surprised to find some veg options in their menu like falafel, salad and lentil soup. Falafel was so tasty! I came to the place many times when I was in the city (Jan-Feb, 2015). Once I ordered a rice that originally served with meat, but I asked to make it vegetarian. It was really good! Other day a waiter didn't understand my request (most of them don't speak English) and brought me something non-veg, but we managed this situation very quickly, they changed the dish without problems. Another time I didn't like some salad and said them about this, they hadn't included it in the bill that was very kind of them. Not so many options, but if you are tired from couscous and tagin (it's possible to find their veg-version in Morocco) this place might be a good option for you.
