You have to go for Sunday brunch

Amazing Colombian-inspired brunch served on a Sunday. Comes vegetarian or vegan, with an option for a smaller kids portion. The 'boozy-brunch' options looked delicious (alas, I was driving!). They also offer a selection of desserts which sounded incredible. Locally sourced tea/coffee. Very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere.

Pros: The food was amazing , Really vibrant atmosphere

Best of the best

This place is definitely a gem. We go here only for special events and when we want to impress someone like my in-laws LOL as it is a bit more expensive than what we would normally spend, however, the food is absolutely delicious. We don't even live in Todmorden but would go there just to have some Yakumama in our bellies. I love that the menu rotates so you always get to try something new and also have the favourite dishes always available.

Fantastic Vegan Brunch

Visited for Sunday brunch, its quite a drive for us to Todmorden, but definitely worth it. Love the atmosphere and the old building has lots of character. We ordered two vegan Columbian brunches and a large cafetiere of coffee then had the chocolate empanada with coconut ice-cream, absolutely gorgeous food. . The brunch was delicious and even better was gluten free for my husband, we loved the corn arepas and the different textures and flavours. Will definitely revisit but next time for the small plates menu. By the time we left at 12.30 the place was packed, says it all really.

Something special!

Went here for a casual lunch & was blown away by the amazing food & beautiful venue. We shared a few small (vegan version) plates & some bread. All were really fresh, so tasty & absolutely unique - never tasted cuisine like it! Open meat-free kitchen was great too. Wide range of drinks, lovely staff. Worth booking ahead to ensure a table.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Unique cuisine, Beautiful venue

Cons: Not the cheapest

Big city-like dining in a small town

It’s really rare to find somewhere as good as Yakumama, let alone outside of the big cities. Their menu changes weekly, although a few staples (such as their gorgeous Andean potatoes) are constants. Fresh ingredients, no meat replacements, just good plant-based tastiness that’ll blow your mind.

It’s worth mentioning their amazing alcohol selection too- what a treat to be spoiled for choice with so many vegan wines and craft beers on tap!

Their Colombian brunch is also a must-try, and a great way to cure a hangover.

Great food

Really cool restaurant, nice atmosphere. There was a small selection of plates but they were all delicious, most were vegan or could be made vegan. Portions were good sizes, we had 5 plates and a dessert each between 3 of us. Good choice of drinks

Pros: Really delicious food, Nice atmosphere

Cons: Limited choices (this didn't bother us)

Interesting dishes in the lovely old co-op

Love the "old co-op" building, it's a delightful space. We had a great few little dishes here. Especially some damn fabulous Colombian "empanadas" (cornmeal pasties!), which were new on the menu that night - filled with leek & cheddar, topped with sesame, and dipped in a gorgeous mango chilli sauce.

Tasty, lots of vegan options

I was really impressed by this place. All the small plates were vegan or had a vegan option available so we ordered one of everything and it was all amazing. The food is south American inspired and all really creative. Highlights include a coconut, papaya and lime salad and corn on the cob with charcoal aioli. Cocktails were great too, and all marked with if they were vegan or not, I had one of the specials which was Pisco, rosé, pear and lemon. The staff were really lovely too. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Best food in the valley, maybe even the world

Gorgeous, inventive food. We ordered the entire menu of three starters (nibbles) and six mains between five of us. Everything was fantastic. Wish there was bread to mop up the delicious sauces. Now our firm favourite.

Pros: Stunning flavours, Nice staff, Unusual food I haven’t tasted anywhere else

Cons: Only open three days, Acoustics make it a bit noisy when busy, You can’t book if under six people
