Just a 2-3 minute walk from Shioiri station, this fully vegan restaurant offers a relaxing vibe & unique, spice-flavored dishes. The manager, who has not been able to eat meat since birth, discovered falafel, and serves it in creative twists like a falafel sandwich with house-made hemp charcoal pita and a falafel plate with salad or rice. Has seasonal add-on toppings, Craft cola, craft ginger, and coffee are also available. Open Wed-Sun 11:00am-3:00pm, 5:00pm-8:00pm. Closed Mon & Tue. Every other weekend offers alcohol.

A lovely experience

Amazing food, the owner was really nice and we had a lovely conversation. I really enjoyed the background music. It was a great experience and I fully recommend. I had falafel, Cauliflower salad, hummus, Tofu, sweet potato crisps with vegan butter and sorbet.

Fantastic food and vibe

My group ended up going to Yaam as three of us are veg (and one vegan). It’s a short walk from Shioiri Station tucked away on a quiet residential street.

You have a choice between a falafel wrap and a falafel plate; the wrap comes in a homemade charcoal hemp pita and a choice of two sauces, a vegan tzatziki, and a spicy harissa. Other options include fried tofu “chicken”, vegetarian gyoza, hummus, tabbouleh, and Housemade potato chips.

The two owners were tremendous fun to talk to, and I loved the intimate feel of the restaurant. There is limited counter seating as well as a table in the back. The playlist was stellar as well! Even though there was limited seating, we never felt rushed. This is a great gem right next to the base and I will definitely be back!

Best falafel I've ever eaten

I've tried everything on the menu and it's all amazing. I especially enjoy the chips and the ginger drink. The owners are very friendly and I make a point to come here at least once every time I'm in Yokosuka. I usually bring Omni coworkers and they're all blown away every time as well.

Great food and friendly service!

I ordered a falafel pita sandwich and sweet potato fries with vegan butter. It was all amazing and the best falafel I’ve ever had. They make everything homemade and it’s delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent Vegan spot steps from Shioiri Station

A fantastic vegan falafel spot just a two-minute walk from Shioiri Station. I ordered the falafel pita sandwich with tzatziki sauce, served on their house-made hemp charcoal pita bread.

The real standout, though, was the homemade potato chips. They slice them so thin and fry them to perfection right on-site—light, crisp, and they practically melt in your mouth.
Don’t skip them.

Next time, I’m planning to try the Fried Tofu Nuggets with Maple Mustard Glaze. I might also grab some of that incredible hemp charcoal pita to take home—it was honestly that good.
