Serves meat, vegan options available. Hotel with restaurant offering some vegan dishes marked on the menu. Includes winter vegetable and spicy bean soup, sun dried tomato pate with toasts, fusilli pasta with a tomato and pepper sauce, rice spicy vegetable cassolette, burgers, some vegan friendly sides, and desserts. Located across the railway from Harlech & Ardudwy Leisure Centre. Dog-friendly. Booking required for dinner: served 6-7pm out of season 6-7.45pm peak season. No groups, adult only. Open Mon-Tue 17:00-21:00, Thu-Sun 17:00-21:00. Closed Wed. Opens earlier in summer.

Welcoming and accomodating staff

I chanced upon Y Branwen by accident during a visit to Harlech. I wondered if they served lunch but as it is primarily a Hotel they only have Dinner available to those, other than residents.
I queried their menu which was displayed outside and both the Duty Manager and the receptionist assured me that they try very hard to accomodate vegans. Notably, the menu uses 'V' to mean Vegan - which is unusual.
One of the Sous Chefs is a Vegan and the Head Chef is sympathetic so they are hoping to broaden their vegan offerings.
I cannot review the actual food, but they have very good reviews on the web.

Pros: They are very sympathetic to Vegans., Residents can have vegan breakfasts., Soup of the day is always vegan.

Cons: Opening hours are limited., Limited choice at present.
