Expensive vegetarian noodles - Edit
Finally jumped on the bandwagon and tried the Xuan miao vegan noodles that have been highly raved by most. Indeed, it was overrated. Price is too high for a simple bowl of noodles served with some veggie, mushroom and Beancurd pieces. It's a really really light and healthy bowl of noodles, but doesn't justify the high price as it is too average. Maybe the only thing worth mentioning is the chilli sauce...
Pros: light and healthy, accessible at the kopitiam in compass one, paya le
Cons: overpriced

Large portion comfort food - Edit
Tried Xuan Miao at paya lebar and loved it, therefore decided to have the food here instead of sticking to my usual fortune tree. A lovely, large, comforting bowl of dried u-mian with a large bowl of comforting vegetable soup, along with an even larger bowl of dumpling noodles for brunch. The noodles did not look like they have a lot of sauce at first glance - but upon mixing through, every single strand of noodle is covered with just the right amount of sauce to be super flavourful without being overly salty. The dumplings were filled with mock meat - mock prawn, to be exact, to recreate the taste of wonton noodles. Hence for those who are not a fan of mockmeats, you may wish to avoid this dish - but for those who are not too particular, it is definitely worth a try when you are craving for some firmer dumplings.
Pros: Comfort food, Huge portions, flavourful
Cons: Uses mock meat
