Lots of options for vegans

A non-veg friend took us to this restaurant knowing that we were vegans. There is a lot to choose from - noodle dishes, rice dishes, and tons of snack dishes.

The vegan things are well labeled if you can read Chinese.

The portions could have been larger but the flavor was pretty good. We got the 3 cup chicken without egg as our main. The Korean fried chicken was very flavorful and I really liked the fried dough sticks.

The table next to us sat a monk and his friend who said he ate there often so it can't be that bad!

Pros: Wide variety, Well labeled

Cons: Small portions

Great food and lovely staff

We had the combo for only 125 TWD each which included a delicious bun with vegan meat, unlimited soup and sticky rice with tofu and sauce over it. Menu was in mandarin but google translate does the trick

Fresh and friendly

Very friendly people running a food cart and sit down restaurant. No English menu when I went but they are very helpful and there are pictures of all the dishes.

Map marker might still be in the wrong place, if so the actual location is only a couple blocks away.

Does the job but not spectacular

I was not particularly impressed by the food at this eatery but it wasn't bad either. I had the kimchi noodles (thought the kimchi lacked that really delicious strong fermented flavour and overall the dish was somewhat forgetable) the peanut tofu (I've had better in Taiwan) and steamed vegetables (they were nice!). All other restaurants had already closed so it was nice that I was able to grab some food. My appetite was satisfied but I think there are better options in Chiayi. Payment only goes in cash. Note that although the sign outside says vegan, this place is vegetarian.

Tasty and affordable

Shop sign says 'veganism' however the restaurant is definitely vegetarian. Despite this, the menu makes it clear with labels showing items containing egg and milk so they are easy to avoid.

Super delicious

No English spoken by the staff and the menu is all Chinese but Google translate had me making an educated guess as to what I was ordering and it was so good!
Kimchi wasn't super powerful but the fermented flavour was nice and the cold tofu was delicious. Everything tasted super fresh and the menu was extensive so I would definitely come back to try something different again!
Be aware that whilst everything is vegetarian it is not all vegan and you have to select whether or not you want egg!

Pros: Delicious , Good value, Variety
