Just "Ok" pizza - Edit
There were two vegan pizzas which we both got. They were pretty much identical, although one had asparagus on it. The vegan cheese wasn't very tasty (the unnatural, sticky tasting kind) and the dough of the pizza wasn't too great either. It was ok for a meal but I would recommend trying somewhere else for your pizza cravings.

Great service! Three vegetable options with vegan cheese. We had the mushroom and asparagus and it was wonderful. Service was friendly, food came fast. Definitely recommend if you like pizza.

Haben es leider nicht geschafft eine Pizza mit veganem Käse zu ordern. Nette Bedienung, jedoch hat sie mutmaßlich nicht so gut englisch gesprochen und uns daher nicht verstanden und lediglich auf die englische Beschreibung mit „cheese“ verwiesen.

Friendly staff and lovely outdoor seating area - Edit
There is nothing marked on the menu but the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and are able to suggest different options for pizzas, pastas and risottos. We had garlic bread and pasta arrabiata with mushrooms instead of bacon. Desert was a Ben &Jerry's vegan ice-cream. Most of their menu is pizzas and they do have vegan cheese if you want it. The food was good but not amazing but really the ambience makes this a worthwhile place to eat. We sat outside on a pleasant evening listening to a guitarist playing at the bar opposite.

One of few places with vegan cheese in Funchal - Edit
Offering vegan pizza, but it is not in the menu. For a request you can have any pizza with vegan cheese. But it is very expensive. It’s nowhere written, but for cheese you have to pay extra 4 euros! That’s awful! The pizza is not very good and it doesn’t worth it. I ordered funghi pizza - it was very small pizza and the price was 14 euro. Dough wasn’t tasty at all. I can recommend only if there is no other place you can eat in.

Nothing vegan on the menu but you just have to ask the friendly staff to make the Pizza of your choice (the ones without meat) with vegan cheese.

Localizado num pátio com música ao vivo, ambiente agradável.
O local tem muita afluência, notou-se o quanto os funcionários estavam atrapalhados e isso reflectiu-se no tempo de espera, que foi muito.
Tem bolo do caco vegan que estava igualmente bom.
As opções vegan não estão listadas por isso é necessário perguntar, talvez isso possa e deva ser melhorado!

They serve vegan cheese but it is not worth it! Pizzas are tiny with a very limited amount of veggies for a vegetable pizza. They are 12,50€ per pizza and both of were still hungry afterwards.The cheese is awful and the dough not great either. I cannot recommend it!

The pizza was okay, although we could only choose between 2 pizzas (asparagus+mushrooms or sweet pepper+mushrooms). The vegan cheese was good but my girlfriend tought it was way too much. The only vegan dessert was sorbet. one of the staff members was friendly, the other one far from it. Would suggest eating at the restaurant right next to/on top of this on, called Gavino, which have great vegan mains and an incredible brownie/'moelleux' dessert.

You can have any pizza with vegan cheese, I had a mushroom and asparagus pizza and vegan calzone. Amazing wine too and very reasonably priced menu. The staff is very attentive and friendly.

Nettes Restaurant etwas abseits vom großen Trubel. Die veganen Pizza-Optionen sind nicht auf der Karte deklariert, das Personal hilft jedoch weiter. Die Empfehlung war Pizza Amalfi (ohne Schinken). Sie hat gut geschmeckt. Preis ok, man ist halt in einem Touristen-Hotspot.

You can add vegan cheese to any pizza and it’s in a good location in old town. The bar across has a singer playing most nights so atmosphere is great. Pizza was nice, not the best and not the worst but fills a hole!

Hurray for vegan cheese! - Edit
Thanks to HappyCow, we knew we could ask for vegan cheese on the pizza. You can take any pizza you like and make some alterations on it, but maybe we've made too much, because one of the pizzas had real cheese on it. Fortunately, we noticed it quite quickly and they apologized and made a new one. They also showed us the vegan cheese they use and it's the grated Violife mozzarella. Definitely worth a visit!
