Small authentic restaurant!

A small, authentic little restaurant with lots of charm! I had the spicy rice dish, while my partner went for the jackfruit satay. The food was delicious, and we really enjoyed the drinks as well.

Pros: tasty food, friendly staff

Authentic Indonesian food

All vegan menu. Tasty inexpensive local cuisine in a small venue. Air conditioning would have been a bonus but there was only one pedestal fan to move the air around.

Big fan!

Love the concept and the food was always delicious. However, they also sell soap with honey. Still a great place to eat but definitely not 100% vegan, which is a pity in my opinion.

Pros: Tasty food, Affordable, Good location

Cons: Sell no vegan products

Spicy little warung

4,5/5 rating. Likeable warung with cheap prices. The food came out about 5 to 10 minutes before the drink, which was unusual. The quality of the Nasi Goreng was great though. She likes to make the dishes very spicy by default, so ask for no spice or just a little.

Delicious nasi campur

Yum! Such a lovely little place. All vegan. Wulan is the lady who runs the place and has a cute orange cat called Jelly. I also had a tropical fruit smoothie of the day. It was pineapple, dragon fruit and guava. I'll be back!

Wulan’s Warung – A Rare Vegan Gem in Ubud

After three weeks of doing a self-guided vegan food tour across Bali—sampling everything from the most expensive vegan restaurants to the tiniest roadside warungs—we can confidently say that Wulan’s is one of the absolute best.

We’ve eaten every single item on the menu, and every dish has been consistently delicious. Unlike many places around Ubud that tone down their food for Western tastes, Wulan’s serves authentic, flavourful vegan meals with just the right amount of spice and heart.

The staff are lovely, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the prices are incredibly affordable. Whether you’re vegan or not, Wulan’s is a must-visit for anyone who wants real, soulful food in the heart of Ubud.

Home cooking

This place is like being served food in someone's living room. Very humble and lovely. There was only one lady working, but I was happy to wait as I was tired from walking. I love trying nasi campur from different cafes, so that's what I had and it was delicious. The banana fritter was so good for dessert.

Understated Local Food

I was the only person here and couldn’t decide between everything, there was only one lady working recommended the savoury pancakes and they were so so good!

I would have added a little more spice and sauce but they were so delicious I at the whole thing.

I also ordered a lemongrass and ginger tea which was the equivalent of a small pint ☕️

Pros: Flavourful local food, Value for money, Made to order

Delicious!

This is a very small and simple vegan warung, so don’t expect high end tableware or even AC, but they more than make up for it with delicious food!

Their savory pancake is a must!

Really good nasi campur

The Nasi campur was tasty and I loved trying all the components, there was one melon part that was SPICY but the rest was perfect. The tempeh was crumbled and fried which was nice.
The fried banana was ok, would have been much nicer if there was about 3x as much sauce.

A Cozy Vegan Gem in Ubud — Authentic and Delicious!

Wow, what a lovely little gem! The restaurant felt cosy and welcoming — none of that pretentious vibe you sometimes get in Ubud. Just real, authentic, wholesome food that truly hits the spot. I can’t quite recall the names of the dishes we tried, but my partner had a delicious savoury pancake, and I went for the tempeh with veggies and red rice. Honestly, such a flavour sensation! We’ll definitely be coming back. If you’re in Ubud, do yourself a favour and check this place out!

Everything was delicious and so affordable

Great little warung with delicious and super low priced food. We wanted to eat everything! We tried the corn fritters, tempe and tofu, peanut vegetables and sensational stuffed pancake and fried bananas. Everything was insanely good and there was only one girl in the kitchen cooking all alone. The furniture is also so cute and comfy.

Pros: Stuffed pancakes, Corn fritters, Peanut veggies

Affordable Local Flavours with Friendly Vibes

Wulan Vegan Warung is a charming and affordable dining spot in the centre of Ubud, offering a taste of local vegan cuisine. With its small but tasty menu, it’s perfect for those looking to enjoy a casual, home-cooked style meal.

The dishes, while simple, are full of flavour. The Fried Bananas and Tofu Pancakes were definite highlights, offering a satisfying mix of textures and tastes. For drinks, the Aloe Vera drink stood out as a refreshing accompaniment to the meal.

The food does lean on the saltier side, so it may not suit those seeking lighter seasoning. However, the warm and friendly staff more than make up for any minor quibbles, making every diner feel at home.

For an inexpensive, authentic vegan meal with a local touch, Wulan Vegan Warung is a solid choice in Ubud. It’s a great spot to enjoy comforting dishes in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

Pros: Inexpensive local vegan food, Fried Bananas and Tofu Pancakes, Friendly staff

Cons: Menu is small, which may limit options for some, Dishes lean towards the saltier side, Limited drink variety

So nice, we ate here twice.

Really wish we had tried this place earlier in our trip so we could have gone more often, but ended up having dinner here two nights in a row before leaving Ubud. Loved the down-to-earth atmosphere, free from the pretentiousness that comes with some of the vegan eateries around Ubud.
We tried a few items from the menu including the Exciting Noodles, Wulan 7 Veg, and the Savoury Veg Stuffed Pancakes. Everything was awesome, including the Fried Banana Goreng for dessert. One of many highlights was the Tempe & Tofu with Sauce, which had probably the best satay sauce we’ve ever had.

Fantastic food at a relaxed pace

The food here is fantastic. We tried the Spicy hottie, Savory pancake, 7 veg, fried banana. All great! The staff super friendly. Quiet spot just off the main road.

There was one person cooking, if you’re in a group expect a wait between each persons dish.

Pros: Vegan, Taste, Price

My favourite food of the holiday

The food is healthy, delicious, cheap and ethical. We came back 3 times before we had to leave Ubud and I even get cravings now, a whole year later.
My favourites were the nasi goreng and savoury pancakes.

Pros: Delicious and flavourful , Healthy, Super cheap

Cons: Staff are a little unfriendly , No air-conditioning , Can be a bit of a wait, but worth it

OK food & mediocre service w/ a smile

My son and I were the only clients here. It was hot and there was only one fan, which was pointed towards the kitchen. (They could benefit from adding a fan to the dining room.)

While friendly, the server only came to take and deliver our order. She spent most of the time in the back chatting with a as friend. She never delivered one of our dishes and when asked about it at the end of the meal, she said it wasn’t available (though she did not say so when she confirmed our order). Several other items we ordered were out of stock (and the menu is already quite limited), but she said so up front.

We enjoyed the savory pancakes, but the sweet potato fries were small and dry. The tofu tempeh dish is the one that never came.

Pros: Inexpensive, Good savory pancakes

Cons: Hot , Distracted service, Limited menu and out of stock items

Cozy spot

Not too far from the main road, Wulan is a pretty little venue with friendly service and lovely food.
The savoury stuffed pancakes were juicy and flavourful, just wonderful eating. And I really enjoyed the nasi goreng, not too big but enough.
The cassava chips are worth taking home for a snack.
BTW, they accept credit charge, and they don't add on extra for tax and service.

Pros: lovely venue, although small, lovely staff, really good food
