Peaceful World Peace Cafe

Relaxing atmosphere in a beautiful environment. Nice hot drinks and cheerful. Opened the door and found a crowd of people laughing at something Gogden just said. Very friendly people at this place. Could not recommend more.

Pros: Good food, Nice drinks, Friendly

Cons: Not open at the weekends

Tasty drinks with a view

I've spent a few afternoons sitting in the cafe looking out at the park. It's a lovely place to go after one of the meditation classes on offer, or on a free afternoon. It's a great place to go for a drink and a light bite. They do all the classic drinks: Americano, espresso, hot chocolate, tea, and so on. And little snacks like cakes and toasted bagels.

I like that they give you a little treat on the side of your drink, that changes every time you go. Sometimes it's a little Biscoff cookie and sometimes it's a Ferrero Roche. You never know what you're going to get.

It's also a relaxed place to chat with the meditation teachers after class. You can ask them questions about the class, or about life. The chilled-out atmosphere makes it feel like you're just having a deep conversation with a very wise friend.

Pros: Tasty snacks, Friendly company, Beautiful view of the park

Cons: Not enough people there (go and check it out!)

Chilled out and friendly

This is a lovely place to stop for a hot drink after a walk around the park, or a shop on Lark Lane (without the Lark Lane prices!). There's a lovely, happy atmosphere in the cafe, with lots of regulars throughout the day. It's still pretty quite, so it wouldn't be a bad place to catch up with some work. There's free WiFi too! And, if you're the only one there, the woman behind the counter will let you choose the music.

Pros: Friendly atmosphere. You'll feel welcome., Nice, simple snacks, cakes, and drinks., Less expensive than some places nearby.

Cons: It's not open long enough (more cafe time!)

World Peace Cafe, Liverpool

This eatery opened on March 1st 2011 and is in a nice building with a lovely view on to Sefton Park.

When I walked in the first thing that hit me was the lovely smell of the coffee. The location is clean & cozy with around 16 seats around 5 tables plus a couch with a coffee table in front.

It's a cafe style menu rather than a restaurant job; soups, sandwiches/paninis/wraps/toast, cakes & drinks. The menu is geared mostly towards lacto vegos but that does not mean veganism is excluded. Specifically when I was asked what was vegan I was offered either the Japanese tofu wraps or a falafel wrap. After the whiff of the coffee on the way in, I also went for a soya latte. Service was pleasant enough as is the general vibe of the place and prices are reasonable.

This place is still finding its feet but with a couple of Liverpool vego venues having closed in the last few months its a welcome change to have somewhere new open up.

Suggested further improvements:-

I'm only speaking for myself of course but I always wonder why places with small menus such as this with only one soup, why don't they make the soup vegan friendly? It seems a little silly to immediately exclude potential custom from one of the courses available.

I'd also suggest that with the menu being geared largely towards lacto veggies, they could indicate on the menu which dishes are either vegan or can be adapted to be vegan. It sends out a clear message that vegan veggies are welcome and wanted custom.

Pros: Vegan vegetarian friendly, Lovely location

Cons: Soup is non vegan friendly, Could be more vegan friendly generally
