Serves meat, vegan options available. A small family-run restaurant serving Chinese comfort food. More than half of the dishes on Woon’s simple menu are vegan or vegan optional and are clearly denoted as such. Examples include a vegetarian noodle bowl, sides, appetizers, and one of three flavors of ice cream bao dessert. Drink options include beer, wine, sake & tea. Open Wed-Sun 4:00pm-9:00pm. Closed Mon.

Great food great ambience - Edit
Love this spot.
Read moreSo nice to sit outside on the deck with really good food and a beer.
Menu is fairly small for vegans but there’s enough choices for a couple of trips and it’s got more on it than 95% places in LA. It’s also all quite premium .. beautifully presented, well flavoured , clever .
It’s not cheap but not too expensive either. One of my favourite spots in LA.
Pros: Good choices, Beautifully presented , Nice ambiance

Great feeling atmosphere, okay food - Edit
Woon is a very homey feeling restaurant with a kind staff. It was pretty busy on a Sunday evening, but there were a few tables open on the inside. Very hip place. They have a good amount of vegan options. I went with the braised tofu bowl. The bowl was okay. They did a great job braising the tofu. It absorbed all the flavor of the braise so there was no tofu taste at all, but it was pretty salty. The pickled veggies and rice did an okay job contrasting the saltiness, but I feel

There’s something about the restaurant though…just gave me a very cozy feeling. Maybe it was the sunset coming in from the west facing windows bringing in a warm aura and lighting up the white walls with an orange glow. Maybe it was being huddled around a small table sitting in small chairs with your friends eating some comforting Chinese food straight off the wok and washing it down with a cold beverage in small cups. I dunno…but that cozy feeling alone is enough to make me want to give ‘em another shot

small but tasty - Edit
super cute restaurant with really great vegan options. portions are small and it's quite pricey for the sizing, but it's a great place to go to share plates & experience the flavors!

Small, cozy & delicious - Edit
Woon, which opened this year, has a small, cozy minimalist design ethos and a similarly minimalist menu. Luckily, a lot of the items on Woon’s curated menu are vegan. I’ve had their veggie noodles, which are soft and chewy and savory and so good that I constantly crave them. I enjoyed their cucumber & tofu salad and their smashed radish, but didn’t enjoy the soy veggie wraps as much. And their ice cream bao - which uses Wanderlust Creamery’s sticky rice and mango flavor - is to die for. Vegan items are labeled V, but I’m not sure what modifications are used for their Vegan Optional foods.
Read moreThe prices are reasonable & I enjoy bringing friends here. However, if you’re gluten free this probably isn’t the place for you as I’d imagine their options are pretty limited.
Pros: great food, open late, cute & cozy
Cons: small seating area, not friendly for dietary restrictions (besides veg, small menu
