Not sooo great

The food was ok but some dishes are kind of bland, the panang was very sweet and had not so much flavour. The papaya salad ist good though. The owner ist very nice but the staff seems to be a little annoyed.

If you want to dine in a beautiful place

Flexible kitchen. They make it fit vegan for you. We had a mediocre Pad Thai (I think they didn't replace fish sauce, just missed it out) and some fried cashew vegetable and tofu. Both dishes tasted like they overdid it with the MSG. Don't get me wrong, I use it myself at home from time to time but when noodles don't taste like noodles anymore it's odd.

Extra star for the beautiful decorations.

Pros: Decorations, Friendly staff

Cons: Too much MSG, Spicy was mild

Yummy mango sticky rice

We tried the mango sticky rice for breakfast here and it was perfect! Calming music in the background, a sweet old black dog, beautifully decorated space, and the kindest owner! Highly recommend stopping by here 🥰

Pros: Such a kind owner, Great mango sticky rice, Vegan-friendly

Delicious, affordable and great service

Many dishes could be made vegan upon request and they always had tofu for vegan protein. We tried different curries, pad thai and some of the breakfast dishes – all were so delicious. The portions were huge, so you would always be super full after eating here. Most prices range from 80 to 180 baht, which is cheap compared to many other places on the island. The owners were very friendly!

Best value vegan food on Koh Kood

Amazing food and big portions! There is no dedicated vegan menu, but the owner/cook knows almost fluent English and knows what vegan means/can take out egg, fish sauce etc. The staff are also amazing! We tried all the restaurants on the island with vegan/vegetarian menus and this one is the best. Always had tofu and big portions. Would give 5 stars if I could. The yellow curry is the standout dish. I kept coming back because everything else on the island is more expensive with less portion and less taste.

Pros: Big portions , Lots of cool houseplants

Deserves 5 stars

The restaurant has amazing decor and you can see the love for details. There is no vegetarian/vegan menu but the host speaks excellent english (maybe even native speaker?) and can veganise every dish. You can replace meat/seafood with either more vegetables or tofu. You can also choose how spicy you want the food (1-4 🌶️ or Thai spicy). Make sure to specify that you don't want egg on the Pad Thai.

We had Pad Thai with Tofu, Papaya Salad and Rice with fried Basil leaves and Tofu (🌶️🌶️).
We loved every dish and cannot recommend this restaurant enough! Service was also very attentive and fast. Portions were generous considering the price (~80 Baht each dish).

Edit: We ended up eating here every day during our time on Koh Kood.
