The best vegan grilled cheese sandwich and vegan tomato soup in the area.
Haven’t found one better in the area. it’s worth driving to if you’re not in Detroit.

Grilled cheese & tomato soup - Edit
Tasty sandwich & soup clearly marked vegan. Oddly I asked for a vegan side salad and told that isn't an option. Great college age fun environment and live music. It was good in a pinch but I wouldn't make a special trip.

What a surprise!! - Edit
There were about 4 options on the menu. Was concerned at first but then …wow! We ordered the tacos and quesadilla, which came with a sauce that needs to be sold by the jar! So good. Service was great and will definitely go back.

Nice environment - Edit
Went in for a few drinks and it was a nice environment. I didn’t order food as I ordered from the pizza place next door. Would definitely have loved to try some.

New owner, new menu - Edit
Ownership changed right before covid. Menu has been upgraded. Lots more vegan options now. Flavor is really good. I had a tomato soup with coconut milk and a grilled cheese with tomato and pesto. Quite tasty. Beautiful historic interior with exposed brick, tin ceilings and wood bar.

Good neighborhood staple - Edit
The menu has changed many times over the years, but always includes a number of vegan options. This is a great neighborhood bar free of scenesters when you just want a beer and a sandwich

Good option for a pub while waiting for Pie-Sci pizza :P - Edit
You can eat here vegan and GF beyond salads. A couple of hand burgers, Brussels sprouts and some sides.

used to be great - Edit
They used to have DELICIOUS vegan options, but over a year ago they must've changed the cook, so last time I visited they only had one meal that was vegan - burger. It wasn't terrible, but rather dry.

Great food, reasonable prices - Edit
The vegan options were delicious at this upscale campus pub. The Pho-phillt minus cheese was perfect and the Steve McFever was a delicious take on a black bean burger. We will be back.
