Dreadful breakfast - Edit
Thought I'd treat myself to a breakfast. Was baked beans, Oggs scrambled eggs, sweet potato wedges, mushrooms, pea shoots and roasted tomatoes. Had to buy toast separately and was promised Flora.
Read moreWaitress was friendly and efficient. Food arrived. All cold. Absolutely awful. Tomatoes were waved in front of a heat source, Oggs disgusting flavour, sweet potatoes soggy and tasteless. No Flora so given jam instead (!). I noticed this was the case with another reviewer. Avoid at all costs.
Pros: Waitress efficient and friendly
Cons: Awful taste , Cold, No alternative for butter

Limited Vegan Options - Edit
I had the vegan breakfast. It tasted pretty good. There weren’t that many vegan options on the menu, other than a Hummus Mezze starter.

It’s food at least - Edit
There aren’t many options here on the menu. We tried the vegan breakfast. The egg substitute is pretty gross. My partner said the baked beans were bad even by American standards. The tomato at least tasted like a tomato. The mushroom might have been the best thing on the plate.

Disappointing - Edit
Seeing a vegan breakfast on the menu here encouraged me to take a seat rather than pick up something at Pret across the way. I don’t usually leave a bad review but the food was unappetizing and cold. What breakfast doesn’t come with toast? I ordered a side of sourdough (with flora) for an extra £3.50 and got cold white bread toast and butter (server told me they didn’t have any flora margarine left). Redeeming quality? Pot of Yorkshire tea.

As far as airport food goes, it is good - Edit
There is a no-chicken burger, which is worth a try. Chips were dry.

Good no-chicken burger - Edit
We ate the no-chicken burger. It was only marked as "vegetarian" (they didn't have a vegan label at all on the menu) but we asked two member of staff and they both said it is vegan so we gave it a try. It was a decent burger and the fries were good. However it's said that the burger was only labeled "vegetarian", I would appreciate if they would add another label for vegans in the future.

surprisingly good - Edit
My wife had one of the salads made vegan for her and the staff was very aware of food allergies. They brought an iPad that features all ingredients and were very friendly and helpful.
Read moreI had the vegan burger which was really good. And so were the fries.
Everything tasted fresh and the burger was really crispy.
Pros: fresh food, things can be made vegan, staff very attentive
Cons: not so many vegan options, pricey- it’s an airport restaurant

Good for airport food - Edit
I'm impressed with the number of clearly marked vegan options they have for an airport restaurant. The portions were far too small though and I left still hungry. I liked the tofu scramble. And the staff really work hard for how busy they are.

Powdery - Edit
I had the scrambled tofu breakfast. Overall, the food was underwhelming, with dry bread. The scrambled tofu was not great, as it was so overdone on turmeric or similar it was powdery in the mouth, almost gritty with it in places, and that's all it tasted of. With scramble, only a pinch is really needed to colour it so the scramble isn't pure white. Flavour should come from elsewhere! This, however, could have been listed as "curried tofu", rather than a replacement for scrambled eggs. The avocado was good quality though and the fruit juices were huge portions, not tiny glasses like elsewhere. The coffee was also decent, with lots of milk alternatives available.

Average vegan breakfast - Edit
I ordered the vegan breakfast plate with tofu scramble and additonal serving of toast. I asked if there were any dairies in the toast because I have severe lactose intolerance and they said no. They were very accommodating when I asked if it was possible to have something else instead of tomatoes. I was slightly puzzled when I was served butter (which was so warm it was melting in the paper)... The food was just average, nothing to write home about.
Read moreSurely it was a busy time, but I don’t know if having three people serving the same person was really necessary, I had the feeling they were overwhelmed. The chance to pay through the website was great as the wait for the check was quite long.
Pros: Vegan options, Quick checkout through website
Cons: Food was average, Friendly staff but kind of overwhelmed

Vegan breakfast! - Edit
I wanted to get something at Leon but they didn't have any real vegan options besides the porridge. This place has three vegan options plus others that can be made vegan, including one with coconut yogurt. They're very aware of the vegan lifestyle (like the rest of London) so the server was kind enough to inform me that the granola may contain honey. I opted for the scrambled tofu with sweet potatoes, mushrooms and roasted tomato. It was underwhelming. They have fresh pressed juices too so I got the carrot and ginger, which was good. I inquired about any vegan pastries but they didn't have any options. Overall it's really cool that there are clearly marked vegan options but the food is average at best.

Surprisingly good - Edit
So I’m not usually a fan of Giraffe (or similar “world food” cafes) because the food isn’t really made with love. But I have to say the vegan scramble was pretty good - nicely spiced. The smashed avo that came with it would rival the best artisan brunch places. Nice work Wondertree. Would def be back.

Only avocado on toast on breakfast menu, despite an attempt at a modern, responsible brand, the reality is they don’t care.

Few options but good food! - Edit
A great option for travelers visiting terminal 2! Staff were more knowledgeable about what's vegan than usual in my experience with London, although the menu unfortunately doesn't list it properly. The ramen was delicious!
