Lovely - Edit
Separate vegan menu. Knowledgeable on vegan food. Huge portion s and lovely food. We had salt & pepper mushrooms and the vegan duck starters to share. The duck dish is definitely a sharer as huge. Then chkn in satey with ginger , prawn chow mein . Rice, chips, and portion of curry sauce. All delicious. Took leftover s home as too much to eat. The owner was very friendly and said she is looking to expand vegan options.

Wonderful selection of vegan food - Edit
Amazing selection of vegan food! 3 of us visited on a Monday evening, 2 vegetarians and 1 vegan, and we chose this restaurant because of the vegan selection.
Read moreThe host was wonderful and made us feel very special throughout the whole meal, giving us a window view and wonderful conversation!
We hadn't planned on starters however decided to share a vegan crispy duck and some spring rolls. None of us had tried crispy duck before so that was a lovely touch to find it available and vegan. Both starters were delicious!
On to the mains and we ordered a mushroom egg foo yung which wasn't listed on the menu but was available on request, not vegan but suited 2 of us and was very tasty.
We also ordered a vegan duck with cashew nuts which we'd seen on the takeaway menu and a bean curd in szechuan sauce, both of these vegan meals were fantastic. Boiled rice, egg fried rice, chips and curry sauce were also ordered and shared.
Finally for dessert we opted for banana fritters which were fried in a vegan batter, 2 of us had ice cream with it and 1 did not, vegan ice cream was available. We were tempted by vegan cheesecake but decided to go with the fritters because its such a winner.
Other things to mention, a really luxurious feel throughout, and the nicest most spacious toilets, honestly I can't speak for the men's, but the ladies, most venues would have crammed 4 in the space but 3 were perfect and roomy, including a baby change room in there too if needed. Lovely classical music playing in the background too.
Value wise, the bill came in at just over £110 for the food mentioned plus a large pinot grigio and 2 appletise which felt very reasonable.
Would love to go back some time and sample some other delicacies, it's nearly 7am and I'm writing this before breakfast and my mouth is watering just thinking about a return visit!

Friendly, and good food for all of a mixed party - Edit
Visited on a Sunday evening so restaurant was quiet; party of 2 vegans and 1 non-vegan. Staff were very attentive and careful to check we all got the appropriate dishes/ingredients....specifically that we vegans got no fish ingredients in ours. Always lovely to have a separate vegan menu. I would recommend salt and pepper mushrooms starter and mixed veg in satay/spring onion/ginger sauce. Single vegan dessert option -cheesecake made on the premises- was tasty and very creamy. The non-vegan was very happy with his food too. If we lived closer I would definitely go again, and likely sample all the options as take-aways.

Separate vegan menu - Edit
A group of us visited Wok Inn in Brandon, Durham tonight, and we had a fantastic evening! The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
Read moreWe had a lovely chat with the owner, who mentioned they took over the place just six months ago. They’re clearly passionate about what they do, and it really shows in the food and service.
Here’s what we ordered (all vegan!):
• Salt & pepper tofu
• Vegan crispy duck
• Spring rolls
• Salt & pepper mushrooms
• Tofu satay skewers
• Vegan prawns in satay sauce
• Vegan chicken in curry sauce
• Mixed vegetables in vegan oyster sauce
• Rice vermicelli noodles
• Vegan duck rice vermicelli noodles
• Mixed vegetable rice vermicelli noodles
• Boiled rice
To top it all off, they surprised us with complimentary vegan cheesecakes—such a thoughtful touch!
A lovely little gem of a place—we’ll definitely be back again soon.
Pros: Vegan menu , Adaptable, can order dishes not on the menu

You were there same time as my Mrs.The so called Vegan dishes refer to the meat sub only,ie the chicken may be vegan but the meal isn't.Satay tofu for example has fish sauce.Never ordering again, but I will be reporting them, and I hope you do too, before they kill someone with allergies, they clearly have no clue.

Vegan options aren't vegan! - Edit
Vegan mock meat dishes, the only vegan part is the mock meat.At least one of the sauces has fish in!Have to presume other foods aren't really vegan either.

I left a comment on a takeaway order, from the so called Vegan order,no fish, egg, meat, dairy etc,to be told one of the 'vegan' dishes had fish oil in it.

Won’t go anywhere else for my takeaway now - Edit
Having tried lots of Chinese takeaways - this one wins hands down.
Read moreNo more vegetable curries, this had a variety of options to rival the meat menu.
We ordered the chilli chick’n, the mock duck chow mein, the vegan satay skewers, and the salt and chilli chips. Everything was incredible. Like faultless.
The skewers in particular, I haven’t had anything like that in the 2.5 years I’ve been vegan, and it was my favourite dish. So I’m thrilled to know where I can go.
Pros: Many Options, Meat alternatives, Restaurant/takeaway

We loved the separate menu. They brought us fortune cookies for starters, and then we ordered the salt and pepper mushrooms and veg spring rolls for starters. They were so good.

Vegan menu and adaptable - Edit
This restaurant and take away have many vegan options from vegan crispy duck pancakes, vegan fish/beef/chicken/prawn as well as tofu and vegetable dishes. If I ever fancied a sauce that wasn’t listed on the vegan menu but on the main one they were always happy to adapt and make it for me. Vegan chow mein is huuuuge.

Chips AND Rice Joyce - Edit
Hugely impressed with the vegan menu here. We got the braised bean curd skewers in satay sauce and VG chicken in black bean sauce. Both absolutely delicious. The texture of the meats were simply fantastic. And of course as the late great John Challis used to say in Benidorm we also got “chips & rice”
