OK but I'll avoid it - Edit

I had the cheese steak and cheese fries. Food was ok but I wasn't amazed by it. I was a little concerned watching the cook dip his bare finger in the condiments and lick it, then go straight back to cooking...

road trip detour - Edit

I had the Reuben Steak and rutabaga cheese fries. I was quite impressed. Really well executed, with incredible flavor.
The kraut was perfect.

I went on July 21, 2017 and the Wiz Kid food stall in Whole Foods is OPEN!

Excellent cheezesteak. A little greasy as it should be. Finely sliced seitan, awesome caramelized onions, and fantastic rutabaga cheeze wiz.

Do not miss if you're in the area! This was an outstanding vegan cheezestak :)

Vedge at Whole Foods - Edit

Yes the owners of Vedge opened a location inside the latest Whole Foods in Art Museum are of Philly. It couldn't get any better. This is called Wiz Kid. They have a limited menu. The star is the rutabaga sauce/cheese which they use for the cheese fries & Wk Philly ( Philly cheesesteak. Also available is the the lightest & fluffiest tempeh sandwich. WK chopped salad with grilled tofu & marinated vegetables is very tasty & filling as well.

Pros: Fast , Convinced with free parking. , Friendly staff.

Cons: Limited menu.

Scrumptious vegan fast food by the owners of Vedge! - Edit

Sometimes a vegan eatery opens and you know you've found a culinary home. This is what happened last week, when the owners of Vedge and VStreet opened a fast-casual restaurant inside the new Whole Foods Market on Pennsylvania Avenue. The offerings, though limited in number at the moment, are infinitely delicious. The culinary themes range from the Philly-inspired "Wiz Kid Philly," a satisfying take on the traditional Philadelphia cheesesteak made from seitan and mushrooms and topped with an incredible rutabaga wiz, a Korean fried tempeh sandwich, with, with its kimchee tartar sauce is reminiscent of a high-end fish filet, and togarashi fries, tantalizingly spiced and utterly delicious. These are the items I've tried so far and although I don't live in that area of town, my plan is to be there about once a week to sample the other items, including the Wiz Kid chopped salad and the Wiz Fries. Having eaten at Vedge and VStreet, I am grateful for this more affordable casual option in such an accessible place. Additionally, the staff at Wiz Kid are incredibly friendly and helpful. As I munched away, I saw them make every customer feel welcome. Also: Free parking! And you can shop afterward in the new Whole Foods! All good stuff.

Pros: Delicious, affordable vegan food, Friendly, capable staff, Free parking!
