Prepare to be disappointed! - Edit
Based on the previous review, we were expecting friendly, knowledgeable service in regards to ordering vegan. Instead we were told the only 2 items that we could have were tamales with no other recommendation. The tamales were good, but I wouldn't call this place vegan friendly. Apparently the beans and rice are not vegetarian. Service was slow. Thoroughly disappointing. It seems that their specialty is fried chicken. Go someplace else.

What a total surprise to find this place in the middle of nowhere! The vegan options are clearly marked and the server knew exactly what was vegan and how things could be veganized. The atmosphere is quirky rustic and totally appropriate for the location. I had a tamarind margarita and blue corn tamale. Both outstanding. The dessert is also vegan without the ice cream.
Pros: clear vegan menu, delicious food, rustic casual atmosphere
