Bakery

This vegan bakery/cafe was previously a traditional bakery called Haddie & Trilby. The name was changed, moved to another location and it became all vegan/plant based. Small space with some seating. Sells hot drinks, freshly made sandwiches using local ingredients, pastries (croissants, pain au chocolat) that are house-made, and cakes/biscuits/desserts made completely in the kitchen. Also sells fresh sourdough bread. Holds events and classes. Open Tue-Sat 09:00-17:00. Closed Sun & Mon. When they sell out, they close, so the closing time is approximate.

Cute small caffee

I like small vegan coffee and restaurants. It’s cute place with nice atmosphere 😉, nice staff and a lot of home made vegan pastries. 🥐 I definitely love this place.
There are also about 4 table and you can seat inside, not only to take away …

Pros: smal vegan place, nice staff , a lot of ready to eat vegan pastries

Small bakery cafe, hidden away but worth a visit

Haddie & Trilby was once a popular bakery that had queues going down the street. In those days it used to sell all sorts, (ie non vegan), hosting pizza nights and bakery classes.

They have undergone a bit of a transition, relocating their business to be closer to town, and renaming it to Wilhelmina (the third of the trio of famous Leamington elephants https://leamingtonhistory.co.uk/sam-lockhart-elephant-trainer-extraordinaire), and importantly, transitioning to being completely plant-based, along with the owner, George.

They now collaborate with CORE (the local sustainable/vegan/organic zero waste shop down the road) by bringing in their local organic ingredients and turning them into delicious sandwiches and soups, and make a wonderful range of desserts. They bake croissants and other patisserie delights in their kitchens downstairs, and sell fresh sourdough bread (which currently is bought in from another local business, whilst they figure out how to squeeze their bread oven into the new venue)

Their made trade is takeaway, but there are a few tables inside if you want to eat the food indoors. They don't use ceramics though, so you'll still be drinking out of a paper cup, and eating off of a cardboard tray, but its still a nice place to sit, if a bit small, but the smell of the kitchens baking is mouthwatering.

Pros: Freshly made cakes, biscuits, sandwiches, Utilizing food from CORE, supporting each other, Friendly welcoming staff

Cons: Bread isn't baked in house, Venue is a little small for sitting in
