Man, I love this place! - Edit
This is such a fantastic little restaurant. Hidden in a passageway leading down to the water, this tiny, atmospheric, candlelit venue is a great space for nights out with friends or perfect for a date night. There is no choice on the menu apart from a few add-ons - but I like that as it means I don't stand out for being vegan. You get a plate with several different curries, spiced veg, dressings etc and some kind of bread & rice - and they're all delicious and all vegan. The menu changes weekly and often uses seasonal / local produce. There is an interesting list of local beers and ciders, and usually a couple of dessert options (I'm not usually a pudding person but these are often great and a nice way to finish the meal).

Incredible food and friendly service - Edit
This is the easiest five-star review. It was our second visit here (the first being in early 2024) and on both occasions the food was amazing.
Read moreThe concept of having a brand new menu every week but with only one main course on it really works. The thali plate has so many different flavours and textures that the whole thing is a voyage of discovery. The blend of different vegetables and seasoning is superb. The fact that most of the vegetables are organically grown within a couple of miles of the restaurant is a really nice touch.
And then there’s the deserts. Holy crap, the deserts. We had a tiramisu that was as light as air and creamier than anything any dairy-eater has ever experienced, and a chocolate brownie with ice cream. If anyone challenges the statement that not all brownies are created equal, this thing is the key witness for the defence. Rich, light, the right balance of smooth and chewy. Genuinely this is some Olympian level brownie action.
The range of drink options is very good, including a vegan mango lassi, a range of kombuchas, local ales and organic wines.
The staff are friendly, welcoming and very knowledgable. Children and made very welcome and well catered for (although not on the menu they’re happy to serve up child size portions).
If we didn’t live 168 miles away we’d genuinely visit every week. It’s that good.
Pros: The food is amazing, The staff are super friendly , Children are welcome and well catered for
Cons: I wish it was closer to where I live

Delicious & Delightful - Edit
We were walking past the entrance to Wilder when the most delicious smell we have ever encountered surrounded us and drew us in. It took 2 more days to get a reservation (it’s very small so book ahead) and the food and service did not disappoint. Make sure you are familiar with the Thali concept before you go. There is one main dish on the menu each week. But so delicious! The desserts were some of the best any of us have ever had.

Absolutely delicious! - Edit
Lovely friendly service. The most delicious selection of dishes which worked beautifully together. Great idea to keep it simple. One thali, changing weekly. The onion bhajis were also very tasty. Loved the dessert too! Good value, and perfect!

Wilder create incredible, taste-sensation, plant-based, Thalis bursting with colour and vibrant goodness - Edit
From the beautiful presentation and sublime flavours of the Indian inspired dishes, to the warm service and cosy atmosphere of the restaurant, every aspect of the Wilder experience has left us with massive smiles every time we've had the pleasure of eating here. One of Cornwall's best restaurants for an amazing evening meal - if you haven't been yet, you need to change that!

We’re locals and definitely rate Wilder as the best place to eat in Falmouth. A different thali each week, and they do kids sizes too. Never fails to be anything other than wonderful.

Serving a different Indian thali each week. I’d go as far as saying one of the best Thali I’ve ever had. Full of flavour. The menu is fully plant based. It gets busy so booking is recommended. Service was excellent as well. Next time we’re back in Falmouth this will be the first place we re visit.

Super special Thali - Edit
An absolute must if you’re a vegan in Falmouth. We headed there for dinner around 6;30pm and managed to bag a table on arrival, but I would highly recommend booking as it’s very small capacity and popular. The tables are packed into the low-ceiling room quite tightly - it was a VERY cosy atmosphere and very welcoming. Only one main on the menu so no need to spend time choosing: the thali. We also ordered some bhajis on the side. I can’t describe how good it all was - you’ll have to just come try it for yourself! Decent drink selection too, plenty to choose from. We were offered dessert but we were too stuffed after all that. The staff were lovely/attentive, the atmosphere was perfect and the food was just delicious. Go.

Fabulous food, simple menu - Edit
There is one thali option, always vegan. There is an optional onion bhaji (2 per portion), and you can buy extra bread. Colourful food with bright flavours. Very filling. It’s fresh and you can tell it’s made with love and attention to detail. We’d advise booking as it’s a small place. Not everyone will manage the raised seats at the back. Ask for the ordinary chairs if you have mobility issues.
Read morePros: Fabulous food, Lovely ambience and service, Good value
Cons: Down steps. No good for wheelchairs, Limited menu choice (pro in my view!), Small so fills easily. But cozy too

Really good dishes, fantastic staff who were very happy to go completely gf (to the point of not using oatly cream because it might be contaminated). The huge chunk of sticky toffee pudding was a challenge after the thalli but happily accepted. Something for everyone in our group, and completely vegan. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous curries and cosy little space - Edit
I'm so happy Wilder have taken over this space, their thali is delicious (as evidenced by me devouring it before a performance at the Poly hunched over my table in the dressing room like a curry eating goblin while my castmates watched in envy) and they've made a really cosy and welcoming space there, albeit not quite big enough for the lovely tall people in my life so if you too are blessed with a family of 6 foot plus I recommend a takeaway by the sea.

Delicious thali - Edit
We loved Wilder when they catered at Mount Pleasant eco park and couldn’t wait to have their thalis again. The venue down a little side street is really cosy and has a nice atmosphere.
Read moreThe thali was very tasty and came quickly, 10/10. The bhajis were incredible too.
However we were unfortunately forgotten about after that as the restaurant got busier and weren’t asked if we’d like desert, despite multiple other tables who arrived after us having their desert order taken and eating it while we waited, looking on! In the end we had to say something but I don’t think they even realised the long wait (45 mins). Sadly the desert wasn’t worth the wait, the banana bread was quite dry and not oozing and moist with the caramel sauce as we had hoped upon reading the description. We also thought they missed a trick by not incorporating any Asian spices like cardamom, cinnamon into the ice cream or into the cake. The thali is fantastic and we’ll be back whenever we are in Cornwall!
Pros: Delicious thali , Delicious sides, Nice people
Cons: Service mishap, Desert not great
