Go to spot in Amsterdam - Edit
The Wild & the Moon locations are our go-to spot when we are in Amsterdam. I had tried out the other places and this one lived up to the expectation.
Read moreFreshly prepared dishes with reoccuring "classics". I am missing a few of my favourites though, like the mac and cheese noodles they had before but that might be due to the seasonal offer. I did enjoy the Caesar salad and pad Thai I got this time.
Too bad the salads and slow juices are all already pre-packaged in plastic, even though it is labelled to be plastic-free. However, this is clearly plastic packaging and I have discussed it with the owner before. I would even go there more often if I could avoid that waste and get the salad in my own box just like they facilitate for the scone.
Their scone is pricey but to die for and we often eat one there or take one home as a treat. We also tried the rice crispy with white chocolate which was okay but not as tasty as the scone.
I picked up food here, but there are also a few seats to sit, a bit less space than at the other branches so keep that in mind.

My friend and I both had the banh mi (a Vietnamese sandwich). It wasn’t like I remember them from Vietnam but it was a delicious sandwich. They didn't have tonnes of choice for hot food but on the staffs recommendation I had Jack's bowl, a macachino and some irresistible banana and cranberry bread with this surprise vanilla sauce. Initially, I was disappointed by the deceptively small bowl size but it was all ssuper filling, fresh and tasty!! The staff were lovely as well.

On this rainy first day of summer, I decided to pay Wild a visit. It had been on my wishlist for over a year, so you can imagine my excitement. I just picked the location closest to me so I didn’t know that it was quite a small one. However, it wasn’t busy, so the person I went with and I could still pick between several seats. I went for the Hollyweed mylk (€7,40) and the Blue Magic bowl (€10,90) with sprouted granola and peanut butter ( €1). My sidekick picked the B.L.T. (€9,90) along with the Monkey Milk smoothie (€9,40). Just a minute after ordering, the whole shop started to smell like amazing “bacon” and only a few more passed before we got our food. At first glance, the bowl seems small, but it is actually a really big and filling portion. I got like 2 big tablespoons worth of peanut butter, which is great value for money. Everything was absolutely delicious. The pineapple flavour in my bowl was a bit subtle though. My favorite item was the drink; the most smooth and creamy texture I’ve ever experienced.
Read moreThe B.L.T. bun itself didn’t taste gluten-free which is a huge plus in my book. I ordered the scone to-go as I’ve heard great things about it, so I will update my review as soon as I’ve tried it. Overall, I would say that this place (or any other location) is a must-go when in Amsterdam.
The blueberry scone is scrumptious🤩 Filling, yet not heavy. I warmed it in the airfryer at 90°C for 3 minutes and that really elevated it!

Always a treat to have everything on the menu as a possibility… I stopped here for a brunch and a dinner. The staff kindly kept a cheesecake in the fridge for me until I could fetch it later in the day.

Wij hebben hier na de film geluncht. Leuke plek, een paar tafeltjes en een bar aan het raam. Niet iets waar je lang blijft hangen. Flink wat keuze voor ontbijt, lunch en avondeten. Allemaal bijzondere gerechten. Wij hadden de soep van de dag (pompoensoep) en een warm broodje “kaas”. Met daarbij een geperst sap uit een plastic flesje uit de koeling. Wel afbreekbaar plastic. Jammer dat het best prijzig is. Voorbeeld: een chai latte kost 6 euro. Het warme broodje “kaas” € 9,40.

Went for lunch and it was delicious. I had a kebab and my partner had a Jack’s bowl and thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought my kebab could have had more filling. Coffee was lovely and I had a nice green tea.

Tasty and filling granola bowls - Edit
I went back for breakfast a couple days in a row, trying the different granola bowls. I liked the pink / rainbow one the best. Had a hot chocolate,.didn't end up having any of the other baked goods as I was just seeking the hearty meal. Nice aesthetic and a lovely street to sit out on with their (couple) outdoor tables. Not a huge amount of space, but was not a problem when I was there with friends.

We ordered the Moon porridge, it tasted nice but disappointingly is was made with very fine instant style oats which go gluggy and cold very quickly and bad health wise they are no longer low GI - for a cafe that focuses on health they’ve let themselves down with convenience.
