Great pub with good vegan options!

I’ve been to the wight mouse a fair few times over the years and it’s always reliable. The menu is clearly marked. Most recently I got vegan ‘pork’ sausages with chips and peas and gravy… simple but delicious! Would happily recommend and return.

Pros: Very nice food , Dog friendly , Great location and views

Vegan options with sea views

Clearly marked menu with a good selection of vegan options. I can definitely recommend the vegetable pie, the steamed veg, and chunky chips it came with were also delicious. Good portion sizes, too!

Hearty food and nice views

The menu had clearly laid out options and was very adaptable - I had the homemade pie with chips. It was a massive portion that I struggled to finish and was hearty and tasty. My only complaint is I wish there’s was more gravy and that the gravy was thicker.

The atmosphere was nice, bright and welcoming but still cosy. The weather was poor so we sit inside but the views out of the window was still the gorgeous coastline.

I’d recommend booking, as it started to fill up past 5:30 pm. Cost was reasonable for pub grub these days.

Pros: Adaptable menu, nice options, Hearty food and large portions, Cosy interior

Cons: Busy, Needed more gravy/thicker gravy

Lovely Atmosphere, hearty food

Easy to understand menu with a varied selection of vegan adaptations. The food was tasty, the portions plentiful, and the atmosphere was warm and charming.

If like myself you’re a vegan who’s often let down by the lack of options and care put into vegan options on pub grub menus, it’s worth stopping here, you won’t be disappointed.

It was pretty busy in there off peak, so I’d imagine booking is probably essential during the school holidays.

Pros: Lovely Atmosphere , Varied Options Available , Hearty Food

Cons: Pretty Busy
