delicious and family-owned

Excellent vegan Caribbean meals. he place is tiny, hours are limited, and they don't have every menu option in stock every day, but it is well worth a stop along the stretch of Crenshaw that's mostly full of terrible processed fast food.

Pros: Friendly staff, Fresh lemonade, sorrel drink

Cons: Limited hours, Sometimes a wait for something to finish cooking, Shares a somewhat dingy space with a donut shop

Great Vegan Menu

The plant-based food here is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. While it is not a vegan restaurant, they do have a dedicated vegan menu with dishes like: Spicy Portobello Mushroom Bowl, Channa Curried Chick Pea Bowl, Jerk Tofu Bowl and Jerk Tofu Tacos. I had the black beans, rice and Jerk Tofu Tacos and was blown away. Really delicious. Great Caribbean spices. The location is a little funky but that is definitely part of the charm. They share the space with King Donuts (unfortunately the donuts are not vegan). This location used to be Jackfruit Cafe. I live nearby and I'm sure I'll be eating here often.
