Creative and delicious - Edit
I went on a Thursday lunchtime, tragically I was the only customer the whole time I was there. And that was bad, because they make great food. I had Korean tofu plus duck bao small plates - both were amazing. Then the Jaffa cake cake - the orange bit is exactly how I remember Jaffa cakes. Pricing is a little stretchy for the backstreet location. But I felt it was worth it, and I'll certainly go again.
Read moreEdit: I did go again for their big WJ breakfast. It was nice, but overpriced for breakfast, and somehow omitted bacon and sausages which were elsewhere on the breakfast menu.

Great flavors and menu! - Edit
The truffle burger and corndog were really very good with lots of flavor. The menu was interesting too. Very popular when we went for lunch. Found it a little pricey overall given the serving sizes though worth visiting again.

Amazing food and super interesting dishes (definitely get the miso corn ribs!!!), cute and cozy little place. Have recommended this to many (also some non-vegan friends) and they were impressed.

If you are shopping in Manchester Arndale you have to go here !! And if your not then take a trip and go here 🙌 smashed beefy style burgers are the besttt !
Read moreHard to get a seat as it is with other eateries and the whole area is always really busy.
No longer in the the Arndale, but not far, address has been updated on happy cow. Still highly recommend, we went here 3 Sundays in a row at Christmas for the Sunday roast, (think this was just for the Christmas menu) We absolutely loved it, my partner is not a Christmas dinner / Sunday roast fan but he loved ittt and we are both gutted it is not on the menu all year round !!
Sunday lunch on every Sunday 🙌👌 its amazing !!

Amazing Vegan Junk Food - Edit
I went here before a gig in late 2022 and it was some of the best vegan junk food I have ever had. The kimchi vegan chicken burger was absolutely incredible. Perfect pre gig feast! The staff were really friendly and found me a seat inside despite it being really busy because it was raining.

Unreal all-round - Edit
We came here for Sunday dinner on Easter Sunday and had one of the best roasts I've ever had! Everything on my plate was SO tasty. There's a choice of 'meat' and the turkey I picked was lovely. The vibe was great too. We will definitely be back.

The absolute best vegan food - Edit
Incredible flavours, some really original interesting options. Everything we have eaten here has been top notch. We make WJ our first stop whenever we visit Manchester, in fact sometimes we drive an hour just to come here. Like no other vegan food we've had, special shout out to the cauli poppers, Thai fries and chilli cheese burger. In the words of my boyfriend, these guys are doing God's work.

Nice small vegan restaurant - Edit
A quirky vegan restaurant specialising in fast food style items. I got vegan nuggets and chips, my wife got a burger. Make sure you book, the place is tiny and fills up quickly.

Amazing food - Edit
This was easily one of the best meals I've eaten in the whole 9 years I've been vegan. I had the KFC Burger, and Pesto Parm Tots. Both were absolutely delicious. Every bite was full of flavour. The cauliflower was nice and crispy, and well cooked inside; the tots were also super crispy on the outside, and fried to perfection. The people there are very friendly, too. We had a lovely little chat about solo travel. If I'm ever in Manchester again, I'll be back to try more menu items!

I went here years ago and was disappointed with the cauliflower burger (I love proper junk food and not a fan of cauliflower!) But I went back recently and got the chicken burger and it was amazing! The tots were proper tasty too!

So tasty! - Edit
This was my second visit, but first to the new premises. We had booked online and it was a good job we did as it was packed (Thursday evening). We ordered the chill cheese chick’n burger and the kimchi chick’n burger and shared some Thai fries. My hubby (who is hard to please), was totally blown away by how good everything tasted. We shared a piece of the lemon drizzle cake and that was lovely too. And we washed it down with a vegan IPA. We talked to Grace who is the mom of the owner and she was really friendly.

Really tasty food - Edit
Sadly they didn't have any 'chicken' burgers when we went but it was really tasty regardless. The 'beef' burgers were quite thin but the flavours made up for that. The non-vegan that we went with was really impressed! I did find it rather on the pricey side (£65 for three people for a burger, side and drink each (only 1 drink was alcoholic)).

Delicious and a Manchester must-try! - Edit
A cute little restaurant with really cool decor and feel. We were walk-ins and were lucky to get a table as they had a lot of bookings, so would recommend booking beforehand!
They had a special Sunday menu, and we ordered a roast and the Smash Burger (a roast burger) with the Cauli Cheese Poppers and an extra truffle mayo dip. The food was so delicious, and would easily give it 5/5.
The staff were friendly, but unfortunately we were waiting for over 45 minutes to get our food after ordering, so ended up being over an hour after we arrived. As we weren’t expecting this on arrival we were left in a rush to eat because we had to catch a train, and sadly the food was slightly lukewarm. If it wasn’t for the wait my review would have definitely been a 5/5, the food was really good, but unfortunately the wait and the subsequent rush took away from the experience for me.
I did see others getting served a fair bit before us that arrived after, so perhaps something happened with order and that isn’t usually the case.
We also got a Biscoff brownie and a berry tart for dessert to take away, both were just gorgeous.
It did end up pretty expensive with 2 mains, a side, a soft drink and 2 desserts coming to over £50 (without service charge) but the food really was excellent so without the wait I’d say it was very much worth it!
