Many Changes - Edit
I’ll leave my original review below but need to update. The Lake Grove location is always packed with prime workers who are clearing the shelves and racing around the store making the experience very unpleasant. They have stopped serving any pizza at the pizza bar and many foods are constantly sold out. Amazon needs a separate warehouse for this so that people going to the store to shop for themselves can have a pleasant experience. Now, in February 2022 I dread going to Whole Foods as it has gotten very unpleasant to shop there.
Read moreI absolutely love Whole Foods. From their groceries to the hot bar, they have everything imaginable. I love how many vegan options they have and it’s nice to have vegan soups, sandwiches, pizzas, and more at the hot bar, not to mention that prices are the same when ordering vegan (pizzas, soups, foods at hot bar) which is nice since so often vegan costs more.

Vegan options - Edit
Lots of vegan options. I do most of my food shopping here. I stop by for lunch occasionally and I’m glad to see they’re adding more vegan items to the food bar like quinoa salads, Gardein chimichurri meatballs, salads, mushroom/barley soup, tofu dishes with an Asian flare etc The pizza station has 4 vegan options-Cheese (Daiya), Salad pizza (arugula, roasted peppers, onions and vinaigrette), Roasted Eggplant with pepperoncini pizza and broccoli pizza. You can also have a TTLA sandwich freshly made at the sandwich station.

Best Place To Get Veg*n Staples Locally - Edit
The Whole Foods isn't as big or well stocked as some, but they do have a very impressive range of veg*n staples and really fills a need in this area, where it can be a challenge to find veg*n food. I especially love their produce section which is huge and full of all kinds of fresh & delicious veggies & fruits. They also have an impressive bulk food department (a great place to buy pulses) and a good selection of spices. They have an extensive range of prepared foods available, including lots of veggie offerings. Another favorite area of mine is the vegan desserts section where you can find the sublime vegan marshmallows and rocky road bark made by Sweet & Sara.

Just to add: I forgot to mention that they have a seating area where you can eat the food you buy, and they provide eco-friendly re-usable bowls, recycling/composting facilities and well maintained public restrooms.
Pros: Great Produce, Bulk Foods Available, Good Selection Of Basics
Cons: Expensive

Awesome 'Healthy Food' Supermarket! - Edit
Since I very recently decided to eat a vegetarian diet, I decided to take a trip to the nearest Whole Foods Market. Wow, what a place to go for healthy foods! This place has everything, and I had no trouble finding the vegetarian & vegan items (vegan mayo, sour cream, cheeses, coffee creamer, almond milk, meat substitute, etc.) that I was looking for. The store was very clean & well-organized. The only negative was that I left with much more than I originally intended to buy!
