WF close to downtown Fremont

Update: Hadn’t been to this location in awhile, much improved from previous ratings I’ve seen… I also went early so everything was getting restocked and it had a clean layout. Some changes noted post-pandemic… also there may be staffing issues as my BFF couldn’t get their coffee fix at 8AM today as it wasn’t open yet. I’d still recommend their bakery section and large selection of vegan treats. Scored a vegan croissant today- I absolutely inhaled it!

Great location, usually come here to get hard to find vegan snacks! And for the large kombucha section. Sometimes after work, it gets real in the parking lot- so word to the wise.

PS, If you have Amazon Prime you get additional savings!

Pros: A plethora of vegan snacks and beauty items!, Vegan baked goods! Vegan Donuts!!!!, Hi-Ball Energy Drinks in Vanilla

Cons: Spendy (Things Add Up Quickly), Coffee Area Closed at 8AM (maybe an outlier?)

Worst Whole Foods I’ve Been To

Maybe I’m just too spoiled as the Berkeley and Santa Cruz Whole Foods are what I frequent most often. I came in to get a sandwich and the guy acted like I was crazy seeing if I could get Field Roast on my sandwich. As a vegan option, he said I could have avocado as my “main.” As he started making it, he said, “just so you know, it’s a spread that came out of a bag.” I said to just stop making it and I’d fine something else. How about some vegan pizza? No, this Whole Foods doesn’t carry that. The salad bar seemed to have almost everything loaded with cheese, which the exception of plain, raw veggies...sigh. I’m giving it two stars because there are some good vegan snacks, but nothing particularly hard to find elsewhere.
