So many options!!

So many fresh and delicious ingredients to build your own bowl or salad including hot and cold food.
Advertised as $11.99 on labels and signs however the signs do not tell you that this is based on weight. I was frustrated when I got to the till and my bowl cost over $30!!!! Be aware.

Pros: Great supermarket, Great grab and go counter

Options sound better than they taste.

I was staying at home2 suites which is a hotel right next to whole foods and was so excited about being able to walk there every night for dinner. I bought so much food it was unfortunately extremely disappointed because most of it just did not taste near as good as it looked.
The grab n go foods included things like a vegan chicken salad wrap, falafel wrap, hummus rap, vegan potstickers, and a few very expensive vegan entrees such as a $13 sweet chili tofu. The chicken salad wrap was pretty good but the other wraps just looked really dry the potstickers were not any good at all I ate two and threw the rest away.
The hot bar barely had anything to choose from that was vegan but they did have a vegan veggie pizza sold by the slice and a lentil and spinach soup. That slice of pizza and lentil soup were the best things I had during my trip.
I also picked up one of their entree and two sides options which the entree was a vegan spanakopita and my size were a vegan superfood salad and brussel sprouts with pecans. The superfood salad had some kind of vinegar on it that burnt my tongue in the kale was extremely stringy. The brussel sprouts had very little flavor and the spanakopita also had some vinegar aftertaste to it.
A few other type of grab-and-go things that were really good that I had were some avocado sushi, chocolate cake and vegan brownies.
Overall I spent a ton of money there but a lot of it went straight to the trash. My favorites were the pizza, the lentil soup, the sushi, the brownies, and that's about it

Decent selection of vegan prepared items

I generally try not to give my money to Jeff Bezos, but this is a convenient place to grab lunch in uptown between meetings. They usually have a few grab and go sandwiches and a couple options on the hot bar, pizza, and a good selection of desserts. Today I had a TLTA (which wasn’t good at all), some mac and cheese (very nooch based, which I personally like), and a slice of Chicago diner cheesecake. They also have a good selection of vegan groceries that aren’t available in my market (e.g., BE-Hive pepperoni). I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way, but if you’re looking for a fast meal in Uptown, it’s one of the better options

Pros: Decent variety for Uptown, Fastest lunch option around

Cons: Funding billionaire space voyages

Build your own meal bar is lacking

To be fair, I think Whole Foods isn’t 100% back to full service with their hot/cold bars where you build your own meals and pay by weight, but there was slim pickings. I’ve been a couple of times this week while I was in town for a convention and whether it was breakfast or lunch, it was measly what was being offered. There were vegan choices and of course they tasted great, but I’d love to see more in general. What’s the point of bringing only part of it back if you’re constantly selling out? Other than that, can’t complain. It’s Whole Foods. Expensive but great stuff.

Just Amazing!

Like almost every other WFM, this one is just amazing, too! Large variety of different (raw) vegan and gluten-free products and fresh food! Also the offer of non-food items is great!
