one of my favorites stores - Edit

Love this store mostly for the produce and dry bin sections. I can get a good selection of organic produce. I also like the salad and hot food sections. I find The Fresh Market and Earth Fare to be my second favorite stores.

whatever you need, then some - Edit

Went looking for beyond burgers, found them in the frozen section. Also found a ton of gardein varieties the stores near me don't carry. Today was a good day

Where would I be without Whole Foods? - Edit

As a vegan, Whole Foods is pretty much my go-to grocery store for all those quirky ingredients I need to cook with. I really appreciate their produce and bulk food section.

They usually have quite a few labeled vegan items on their buffet (my personal favorites are their biryani rice, chipotle tofu fajitas, and chocolate mousse made with tofu). Their deli has a decent hummus wrap, too. I only wish they had some WFPB items as their cooked foods are a bit greasy.

Pros: helpful customer service, plenty of options, decent buffet

Cons: pricey

Much to be Desired - Edit

This is your typical smallish Whole Foods. Has the vegan basics and a couple of delicious vegan deli options- vegan crab cakes and vegan meatloaf. Good produce selection, decent hot bar, but they are definitely not too concerned about vegans. One of two times they had vegan cupcakes, they were next to the bacon cupcakes in the bakery case- yuck! Also there seems to be issues with labeling the vegan cookies verses the regular cookies. Vegan dumplings they carried have disappeared.

Fast Food / Shopping - Edit

They have a hot and cold bar along with a deli where they can heat those items for you and it's great for lunch or a quick dinner. Food ranges from Vegan to Carnivore. Sometimes they forget to put up the info, so just ask. They have an eating area inside and outside or you can take it to go.

The shopping is fine but the store on Wade is better. The area is competitive and I'd like them to focus more on the specialty foods like at the bars and deli verse stocking name brands that I can buy at the Food Lion.

Pros: Convenient, Tasty, Earth Friendly

Cons: Missing Info, Noisy, Seating
