Great Vegan options and Full Flavor

I really love their meat substitutes, I think a soy curl, but it goes really well with their spicy fragrant and citrusy sauces. The veggie Momo are delicious too! I do wish they had a vegan version of their butter tea, it would be nice to have a good hot signature drink.

Vegan dumplings and entrees

I was there a few months ago and need to return! They have a nice selection of vegan options clearly marked on the menu. I shared the vegan "momo" which are dumplings, 3 different flavors. The Cauliflower-filled ones were my favorite with the potato ones a close second! The lentil soup was filling and delicious. My entree was the "Veg Beef Shatrak" which was a stir fry dish. Big serving and took the rest home for a delicious lunch the next day. Highly recommend!

Excellent BYOB option

The vegan selection at White Yak is above average for a place that serves meat too. The momos are really good. The Potato momos have curry, so there’s a hint of Indian flare in there. I got the veg thinthuk which was a hearty soup that will warm your soul on a cold night.

Our server was very friendly. She even mentioned that some stuff on the menu that isn’t mentioned as explicitly vegan, can be made vegan (like the curry, for example). One thing to note is that there’s a $5/bottle corkage fee for wine/spirits. -Also, make a reservation if you can. The place fills up quickly and there can be a wait.

Pros: Great food, Great, friendly service , Beautiful decor

Cons: Can be a long wait if you don’t have a reservation, Street parking only, so you may have to walk a bit

Delicious food

The food was delicious with great service. There is a separate menu section for vegetarian.
Note: the restaurant is small so might take a bit to get a table during peak times.

Terrific Tibetan Restaurant

First time at a Tibetan restaurant. The food was wholesome and tasty. The chill La Ping mung bean noodle appetizer was top notch. Vegan momos (dumplings) were great. Simple miso soup with tofu, seaweed, and scallion. For entrees, we tried the fabulous Dried tofu with mushrooms and vegetables dressed with a lightly flavored oil. Also, the equally delicious Shoko Sissi - shredded potatoes stir fried with carrot and garlic. Wish I had thought to take more pictures. We will be back!!!

So happy to make it back for a second trip. The Thenthuk noodle soup good for the soul. The Gha - sweet, lightly spiced eggplant stir fry was stop you in your tracks delicious. The soy beef in the Veg Shatrak had a tasty sauce with thick cut vegetable medley. Added some pictures. There are still more meals to try so we’ll be back. Friendly, thoughtful service again.
