Good experience - mainly amazing, a little disappointing - Edit
The restaurant is cosy and nicely decorated and I am pleased to say that despite the small size and there being animals on the menu, there wasn’t any smell and we couldn’t tell other people were eating dead people.
Read moreThe service was really friendly and the meal was nicely paced, so we felt relaxed throughout the 3-3 1/2 hours we spent in the restaurant for our 8 course meal.
We quite fancied some cocktails before the meal, but unfortunately they only offered standard mixed drinks like G&T or rum and coke. They have one changing cocktail a month, but as this was sparkling wine based we didn’t quite fancy that. Having said that the G&Ts we had were tasty.
A couple of the 8 courses we had somewhat disappointing as I felt they lacked seasoning (salt, herbs, garlic, spices). 2 of them were OK but nothing too special. The remaining 4 courses however were really amazing and flavoursome!
The desserts were outstanding, which is unusual for me to say as I often find them disappointing and a mushroom course was great as well. These all had a lot of flavour and were very satisfying to eat. I wish there had been bigger portions of those.
Personally I think it is a shame that White Rabbit don’t promote their vegan menu online or in the restaurant by including a page showing the vegan courses in the menu card. I don’t really understand why they do this, but it left me feeling like they don’t care / you don’t count if you’re vegan. I guess this does transpire a little in the menu. Instead of the vegetarian ‘Brie bonbon’ we got breaded deep fried Violife Cheddar. Now don’t get me wrong, I love Violife Cheddar and that dish was one of my favourites, but this is an expensive restaurant and vegan Brie exists, so the reason for not using that instead of supermarket cheddar instead of vegan Brie eludes me.
Overall our experience was good and we enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere, so I would recommend going, especially mid-week this May when the £65 8-course meal is only £50.
Personally due to the high price and feeling like half of the dishes weren’t special / flavoursome enough I think it will be a while before we return.
Pros: Great desserts, Good pacing of courses, Friendly service
Cons: Some lack of flavour / seasoning, No vegan menu card online or in restaurant, No proper cocktails

Amazing tasting menu - Edit
I eat here every month, and love that they offer a vegetarian menu as standard so you can read it ahead of time. The veggie tasting menu is on par with/ better than some I’ve had at Michelin restaurants, and changes every month.
Read moreThey are happy to offer a vegan version of the current months menu if requested at booking.
Pros: Amazing food , Menu changes monthly , Excellent value
