Amazing Food with the Best Owner - Edit
Excellent restaurant with an owner that made the experience even better. As a vegan, it was great that the vegetarian menu explicitly said that it was 100% vegan. The owner was friendly and accommodating and she noticed that we were ordering all vegan food and offered her homemade non-dairy ice cream. We ordered one coconut ice cream since we were so full from the good entrees, but she came out with three small scoops of coconut plus one sample scoop of each of her non dairy ice creams (thai iced tea, mixed berry, ginger, and mango) and they were all beyond amazing! Her old restaurant in Venice Beach was named the best Thai food in LA many years before! Stop by here for the best Thai food with many vegan/vegetarian options!

Delicious! - Edit
Our meal at White Elephant was absolutely delicious. Our niece, who is vegan, recommended White Elephant to us and we are so glad she did. My husband and my daughter are vegetarian. We ordered the vegetarian yellow curry, pad see ew and the spicy basil tofu. All of them were delicious. The waiter was nice, but a little out of it ... possibly in training. The owner/cook, Pam, is the nicest person you could meet. I hope she writes a cookbook because her dishes are top-notch! Definitely going to come back here the next time we visit San Francisco.
