Swing out Sister

Any vegan craft beer connoisseur visiting Wellington should really visit here The open kitchen area does look professional and there are numerous vegan items on the menu but they are in the minority. The main draw for me were the imaginatively named and craft vegan beers of which we tried a Czech style pilsner and an IPA. They also had some intriguing curry infused beers which would be worth trying. Maybe just a half at first perhaps.

Pros: Modern , Many Vegan beers

So so good

Yes! If you’re in the area, you can’t pass this place up. We got the spinach & cashew ricotta with wonton crisps and the “chicken” burger. Oh my god! The flavors! Absolutely amazing. & the service was awesome. After ordering, our waiter was quick to recommend other good vegan friendly options & let us know that all of their current beers on tap were vegan. He also triple checked to make sure everything was vegan as it was leaving the kitchen. If we had more time in Wellington we would definitely be back!

Pros: Delicious vegan options, Good vegan beer!, Knowledgeable staff

Great inventive vegan options

Really happy with the meal and service we had at Whistling Sisters. We had the buffalo cauli wings, gnocchi and the corn fritters. All were nice - good combo of textures and tastes. Also had a dessert which was an ice cream cookie sandwich and a bargain at only $6 plus was tasty.
Very central location and hip atmosphere. Great place to meet for drinks after work or a proper meal. They are open late which is an added bonus.

Pros: lots of vegan choices, vegan options clearly labelled, hip atmosphere

Cons: not all vegan, parking can be an issue
