Best lunch in Tampere, all day! - Edit
Whatever has been my favourite place in Tampere for years. A great all day buffet with so many tasty vegan alternatives: curries, soup, salad, bread, coffee/tea and a dessert (vegan options always available). Fresh ingredients and tasty recepies, great value, and super friendly staff. Would give five stars if it was possible for a place that's not fully vegan.

The all day lunch includes salad, soup, warm meal, dessert and coffee. The warm meal is huge and you never leave the place hungry. The service is fast and friendly.

Pickups available and great service - Edit
We got pickup food arranged nicely between train trips that were 25min apart. It was really nice service that the personnel gathered our portions beforehand as we were in a rush. Great food also!

I have never visited a better buffet style restaurant in Finland (or elsewhere). Amazing selection of different tofu dishes, delicious ice tea and marvelous desserts! Very lovely & kind staff.

Read moreWe went for Saturday brunch not knowing what to expect. The place was full, packet, so popular I haven't seen in ages. Still, staff were delightfully friendly and smiley. Great relaxed atmosphere.
The buffet style offerings were mostly vegan and there were clear labels of which ones were indeed vegan. They do have some dishes with meats. My family agreed on them tofu-dishes being tastiest they tried.
We had small cup of pho, 3-4 mains, summer rolls, spring rolls, kimbap, ice tea, 2 pieces of cake and small coffee.
Sorry for fuzzy photo, I was so dazzled by all of it I forgot how to photograph 😅
Edit: Weekday buffet was just as good as weekend😄

We visited Whatever at lunchtime on a school holiday week. It was quite a busy time but we got a table for two. In my opinion the crowd created a nice feeling.

The food was delicious. If I could wish for something different, some vegan warm dishes could be without tofu. One dessert option was a vegan cinnamon roll and having those is always a plus.

This was my first time visiting Whatever after they moved to the bigger spot. I was pleasently surprised how the food still tasted the same (amazing) even if they were made for buffet and not plates by order. Vegan section was at the end of the buffet and it had good amount of options. Labelings were clear and the staff is so heartwarming and friendly as they have always been ❤️ even if the lunch is a bit more expensive now (13.50e) it feels still cheap for all the things you get with the money. Totally worth it.

Great vegan food, also good for non vegans. Very good value for the money. Friendly staff. The restaurant moved in August 2024 to the next building and has now a terrace and more room for customers. It serves buffet everyday. I think it is the best Asian restaurant in Tampere, especially for vegans.

I went for lunch 12€. It's unbelievable that with that price you can have soup, salad buffet, meal of your choice, a dessert (a proper one - we had vegan matcha panna cotta anf chocolate cake) and coffee/tea. I had bibimbap which was big portion and sooo tasty! Gosh I wish I lived in Tampere to go here every week. The only minus is that they're not fully vegan and they need more space, it can get crowded (for a reason though!)

Delicious vegan lunch. There were four lunch menu options: two with meat and two with tofu. We had both vegan tofu options. Vegan soup, salad, and a vegan dessert were included in the lunch menu. Definitely worth the money.

We had one of two lunch options (both are available vegan). The portion size was good and it includes drinks (water, coffee, tea) as well as soup, salad and a dessert. For just 11€ perfect for a filling lunch.
