I really enjoy the food here. It’s fast food so don’t go expecting anything else but it’s not too greasy and got plenty flavour. The shop has plenty seating and is nicer to sit in that your standard fast food place.

I like the food here a lot but definitely don't love it as much as everyone else does. I think because it was hyped up so much it disappointed me a little bit. Good mock meat, reasonable falafel, but pretty expensive. The baklava was nice but nothing like actual baklava. I'd go back but not in a hurry, there's better vegan food in the area for that price

The Doner Kebab Wrap is generous, very well served. Price is ok considering UK, but the “meat” on the kebab was impressive, a very well prepared soy I think very very tasty. They offer full customisation of your wrap (adding or removing things).

WTP is rated highly and the food is fresh, but I was disappointed to find they use textured soy for their meat replacement which is the cheapest thing you could use, and yet they charge nearly £10 for a pita. I ordered it anyway thinking their marketed special seasoning would improve the taste, but it didn't do much.

I have to say, I was dubious as to whether the food could live up to the hype, but I delighted to report that I was wrong. I had both the chicken and doner gyros and they equally superb. The sides, of which I had criss cut fries and onion rings, were also great. The only slight oddity was a lemon in with the onion rings, but this certainly wasn’t anything that detracted from the meal, just a curiosity!

Great tasting food, this has been a favourite for years- the only flaw I would give is that soy is one of the top 10 allergens and it contributes to chronic pain, so I can’t eat these tasty kebabs anymore😒

Super easy to order on the screen and not a bloated menu. Easy to modify your order too. Staff were on hand to help with any questions and service was quick. We ordered meal deals and they were very filling. Portions were generous and I can't understand the few reviews that say otherwise. I thought these deals were very good value and we will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

I always go here if I want something tasty, quick and filling. I love the seasoning on their fake chicken and their garlic sauce is to die for. Can eat in or take out, think funky fast food style food.
Read moreHummus is so-so but you can easily request sauces on the side or completely off, and the gyros themselves are so good. They do VFC chicken poppers and I buy them at Asda but they never taste as good as when I get them from What The Pitta.

Saw this was the top rated vegan restaurant in MCR, so had to give it a go.

It looked great - stuffed with salad, fries and the all-important doner.
It was decent - I felt the tzatziki made the whole thing taste a bit bland, as it needed a bit more flavour/seasoning, but overall it was decent.
Don’t think it’s deserving of that top spot, but I would go again.

I went there because it has one of the highest ratings of vegan places in Manchester but was heavily disappointed. Even the dine-in food comes in disposable tableware and the food is just your average vegan fast food. I had a gyros/döner plate and the ingredients were cheap, thrown together and not as delicious as imagined. The hummus and tzatziki were not tasty at all and I can do both better at home myself😒For the quality you receive, it’s definitely overpriced. I wouldn’t visit there again and instead recommend going to eat falafel at GoFalafel for a cheaper, tastier and way healthier meal.

Been a big fan of What The Pitta for a good while now. Their food is always so filling and tastes amazing. The Döner Kebab and Chick’n Gyros are two of my faves but truthfully the whole menu slaps!!! They’re filling on their own but I can never resist the waffle fries as a side. They’ve got a nice restaurant area too so you can sit in enjoy your food. Great spot tucked away down an NQ side street!!

Tucked away in one of the historic Manchester streets is a fabulous team of folks preparing some of the most amazing vegan kebabs you'll ever eat.
Read morePrices are very reasonable with lunch deals on offer. Couple of great beers on tap and plenty of soft drink options.
The super star is the Kebabs, though. The Döner is packed with delicious plant based meat that is spiced to perfection, and the salad and chilli's just add the string and bass to the whole accompaniment. The Döner Gyros was equally amazing.
Highly recommend the paprika fries and the garlic mayo dip.
We were very impressed with our visit and will be back again for our favourite treat.

I noticed this place was rated number 1 for vegan food on happy cow and decided to try it. We had the donner wrap, a portion of paprika fries and waffle fries, and tried the popcorn chicken and onion rings. I can honestly say it tastes so much like the real thing, it’s silly! It was fresh, tasty and arrived fast.
