Unique place - Edit
I stopped by this bookstore/cafe while in town in State College. The bookstore/cafe is very unique with varied tables surrounded by books to purchase in an eclectic way. Great ambiance. I asked the server to order me whatever she recommended since all the food is vegan/vegetarian and sounded good. I received the Wuthering Heights. It was delicious. I also had the chili, which was good but was more of a bbq flavor than a typical tomato based chili and the beans in the chili were crunchy rather than soft. A lot of other customers ordered coffee drinks, which looked good. I would definitely recommend this place and plan on returning.

Unique Gem of a spot - Edit
Quirky bookstore. Great food. Like solid keeping it real delicious food. BBQ tofu wrap was delicious. Sauce was killer. The walnut spread sandwich was well executed and full of flavor. Vegan chili was delicious. Sunshine tofu rice dish was good. The scrambled tofu and potato dish was also good.

Highly recommend this place. Signage said they have a vegan brunch. I think it's on the weekends.
Their website said they are all vegetarian and vegan. Love supporting places transitions. Hope they can continue that transition and go 100% vegan.

Love this Place - Edit
Entire menu is vegetarian/vegan. If you love books and want some food while you read, or do work in the cafe/bookstore, then this is the place for you. I had their 100 years of solitude wrap. 2nd time here. Food is made fresh to order. Nice portion size. Reasonably priced. Also had D. Best chocolate chip cookie and it is too good to pass up. Looking forward to coming back.

Get the chili!
Read moreI was quite impressed with my meal. The chili was outstanding. And the wrap was pretty good too. They have a huge tea selection and many interesting used books for you to enjoy.
It is a pleasant atmosphere with lots of seating.
Update: I came back a day later because it’s so good. I had vegetable gazpacho, with a vegan chicken sandwich, gunpowder green tea, and a vegan peach muffin.

I love going to Webster’s! There aren’t a ton of vegan options, and they tend to be a little pricey, but the pie is always wonderful and it’s a great place to read and hang out. The sunflower pate spread is really good too!

Terrific community and food - Edit
To be fair, I only tried a slice of their vegan peach pie, but it was delicious and well worth the money. I was mostly impressed by the sense of community that surrounded the space, with lots of opportunities for people to get involved and support really awesome causes. I am definitely going back to try more of their food.

Good Food... - Edit
The food was good, but pricey! They were out of some things, so we made do. We weren’t fans of the vibe in the cafe - but to each his own, I guess!!

The brown cow and ice tea here are delicious. The desserts are fresh thursday, so never buy on a wednesday. By then the desserts are kind of lacking and not as tasty as when it is the weekend.

always out of something - Edit
I have gone two times and both were bad. Once they were completely out of roasted vegetables which left almost zero vegan options. I got a vegan spread on a bagel but it was bland and boring. The next time I ordered a breakfast burrito with no eggs and no cheese and I received a burrito with eggs and cheese. Other people I’ve spoken with agree the food here is not great but the atmosphere is really great!

Great food and books! - Edit
Wonderful vegetarian/vegan spot in State College, and not something people normally insinuate with Webster's as a bookstore.
Read moreI had heard great things about their black bean burger so I finally gave it a shot yesterday. Delicious, fall off the bun, moist, well seasoned, and filling are just a few words I would use to describe this burger. Topped with home-made pickles, catsup, mustard, and fresh greens. Side soup or salad, the butternut squash soup warms the soul. Highly recommend.
Pros: Nice menu, Great atmosphere, Lots of events throughout the month
Cons: Nothing!

limited vegan options - Edit
Although one of their menu items is "bagel with vegan spread," they informed me that the bagels are not, in fact, vegan. They have a few bread options that are vegan though, so I got a roasted veggie sandwich with hummus. The coffee is good, I got an iced vanilla latte with almond milk. They can also make Italian sodas, which are very refreshing. The atmosphere is cozy, and someday I'd like to spend a couple hours reading at one of their tables, coffee in hand. They also had a vegan blueberry pie, which was quite good. I'm not sure if that's a regular thing, or if I was just lucky that day. Overall, it's a nice place for coffee and a quick bite.

Vegan food and drinks available! - Edit
Webster's is wonderful. It's has a chill, friendly atmosphere, soy milk and almond milk options for drinks (such as tea lattes), and a variety of vegan entrees and desserts. Not to mention it's a bookstore that hosts bands, poetry-reading, vintage trunk sales, and more.
Read moreTheir wraps, salads, and sandwiches are fresh and yummy, and I haven't yet tried a sweet that wasn't delicious. They change desserts up often, so you have the chance to try pies, chocolate tofu tarts, cookies, and other things.
To top it off, they sell some food products, too: raw snack crackers or cookies, vegan marshmallows, chocolate bars, granola or energy bars, and plenty of teas.
Overall, not only can you find books and a place to study or hang out, you can also get good food.
Like another review mentioned, the service can be a little slow if they're busy, but they're more than reasonable, friendly people who are completely willing to work with your dietary needs.
Pros: desserts!, friendly staff, it's just a chill bookstore
Cons: slow service (if busy), limited seating

Small Café, Limited Menu - Edit
The food is always quite good. The staff is fairly pleasant. They can get overwhelmed with orders so don't be afraid to give them a nudge if your seems to have been forgotten. I am shy to do so and that has left me sitting without my food for over 30 minutes a couple of times.
