Standard UK pub food

Not so great. Filling, but typical UK pub food standard, mostly fried (the fishless fish was largely batter) with lots of thick chips. The tables were all dirty so we asked for them to be cleaned, which they were... With a dirty wet cloth.

Pros: Large portions

Cons: Largely deep-fried

Food options are good for the area, we were surprised to find a vegan section of the menu. Price is good. Burger was great, I thought the pie wasn’t the best but my other half really liked it. We would go again.

Pros: Lovely old building with original beams.
