Best Matcha in Town - Edit
We stumbled upon WatchHouse Tower Bridge by chance while walking past, and the place looked very inviting, so we decided to go in. At first, I was honestly quite disappointed because all the beautiful pastries on display weren’t vegan. They looked amazing and really caught my eye right at the entrance, so that was a bit of a letdown.
Read moreWe decided to sit down anyway, and in the end I’m actually glad we did. My companion had an exceptionally good coffee, and I had what was probably the best matcha I drank in the entire city. Truly outstanding in terms of quality, flavor, and balance. So I’m not mad about it at all.
One of my personal highlights were the small cards that came with the drinks. I’ve seen cafés mention where their matcha or coffee beans come from before, but never with this level of detail. It was really interesting and added a lot in terms of transparency and appreciation for the product. I’d love to see more cafés do this.
I know they do offer a few vegan options in general, but I really would have loved at least one small vegan pastry, like a croissant, especially given how tempting the bakery selection looks. Amazing drinks, but the food side could definitely be more vegan-friendly.

Very stylish, early opening cafe with great coffee and good vegan options. The overnight oats were delicious and the breakfast sourdough toast really good.

Very popular place for good reason. Quite a few options, price for breakfast will be about £8-£15 per dish. Alt milks free. Nice fancier place, dog friendly.
