Good food, not many interesting vegan options - Edit
Nice place, with good food, all vegan dishes are labeled as such on the manu, but not many interesting vegan options. Most vegan dishes center around avocado or falafel.

There are a few clearly labeled vegan options. I had the burger-bagel which was tasty. The staff was very friendly and fast. We just thought that it was pretty loud and the tables were a bit sticky.

Nice place for a quick meal. Nothing too fancy, but I really liked the vibe. Friendly staff as well. Fun fact: you can do your laundry here too!

When you go to Wasbar for breakfast, there are a few vegan options: an acai bowl and a vegan pastry called danish crown that is really delicious. One of the available brunches could probably also be made vegan (the one with hummus and falafel). You can ask for oatmilk in your coffee, but you do pay extra for that. The coffee is good. All in all nice food, but not cheap.

Expensive and not great amount of options - Edit
I’ve been to wasbar twice, the atmosphere is very nice, but it is very expensive for what is offered, and not always the quality you would expect for the price you pay. I also wanted to try the vegan bagel burger but it was not available when dining inside so it was quite disappointing.

Food was okay, but portion was small & options are rather limited. Unclear whether the soup of the day is vegan or not without asking.
Read moreOn a different note, this place pertains to also provide washing machines, such that you can both do your laundry and eat while waiting. Sounds great, execution less so. Only 3 washing machines and quite crowded part of town, so big chance you arrive without having either a washing machine to use or a place to sit, which kind of defeats the purpose. Furthermore, the washing machine we used actually didn't dry out clothes near the end, such that they were soaked, though they did not charge us afterwards to compensate.

Got the vegan bagel burger with falafel, salad and (fries?). Had lots of tzatziki in it and it tasted exactly like a souvlaki, pricey but I suppose fair for central Ghent. Bring your laundry as they use ecover products!

Good Guacamole Bagel - Edit
I was there for Lunch. They have 2 vegan options: a salad , and a bagel with guacamole and hummus plus soup, quinoa or salad. Soup of the day was tomato soup. I also had the lemonade with apple and strawberries. Everything tasted good, fresh and self-made. The Wasbar is located very centrally and has a nice atmosphere with seating upstairs.
