Stumbled upon a gem! - Edit
I happened to be walking by this place and saw that the menu had a Vegetarian Section which I was surprised by! It's a very traditional warung, serving traditional Balinese dishes, but they've obviously noticed an increase in people coming who want meat-free options and have labelled each dish on the menu as 'WITH chicken' or 'WITHOUT chicken' which I think is nice.
Read moreI had the Urab with rice and it was the perfect thing to pick me up after a long walk- I'd just done the forest walk through to the rice paddy and it was a hot day so I'd worked up quite a sweat.
The view is spectacular (as it is in most places in Munduk, the views are hard to miss!) but next to my seat was a pair of hanging binoculars which was a lovely little touch, I spent a good few minutes scouting the landscape and trying to remember where I'd been on my walk.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and there were also signs offering cooking classes too. Many places in Munduk offer this since spices grow so well there they have ample flavoursome produce!
Pros: Vegetarian section on the menu, Urab is delicious!, The view!
