Limited but good options

This place had a really nice vibe, friendly service and even got free bruschetta. There weren’t loads of vegan options but the ones they had sounded nice and I really enjoyed my vegan burger.

Kinda like going to an Indonesian restaurant in a western country

The last night in Amed I wanted to grab one last bit of indo food so I went here. Sadly it didn't give me the feeling of having been to a restaurant in indo.

The place is like a fancy local restaurant with western restaurant prices. They had a big menu, half of which was just an explanation about how cool they are. There were a handful of veggies things but only 2 Indonesian veggies items. I wouldn't say I was swimming in options.

We had the veg nasi campur, the vegan curry, passion fruit juice and iced tea.

The curry was a brown curry. I couldn't peg exactly what kind though. It was pretty meh. They put chick peas in it which were undercooked and bitter. They also added too much of something to the curry powder giving it something of an odd texture and flavor. I wouldn't suggest getting this.

The nasi campur was OK. The best thing on the plate was a bbq tempeh type thing, but sadly there were only a few small slices. The rendang was OK but didn't have a very strong flavor. What I thought was sambal was really just pickeled onions and carrot. The rest was pretty forgettable.

Honestly, if you want Indonesian food, this really isn't the place for it. At 3x the price of any local warung, I would expect much better food.

Pros: None

Cons: Expensive, Didn't taste Indonesian

The better cuisine

The quality of the food and service is definetly worth the slightly higher price.
A lot of vegan option, also breakfast and dessert.
Vegan options are marked in the menu. You even get cassava crackers in stead of shrimp cracker.

Pros: Quality, Options, Atmosphere

Cons: Nothing I didn't like
