Vegan dessert - Edit
I was very happy to find a vegan dessert at the Snack shop. My inner child got really excited about this pink cupcake, but to be honest it tasted like pure sugar and was way to sweet. But it was very pretty to look at.

Backlot cafe 🍻🍴
Read moreGreat to have lots of choice and be able to try the butter beer.
I had the loaded hot dog, chips and a butter beer from the ‘Backlot cafe’ which is halfway around.
Frog cafe 🐸
I had the chocolate orange shake (to-go) and it was delicious BUT you don’t need both that and a cake - I did feel sick. 😅 The vegan Voldemort cake was a bit dry.
Again, a few vegan options so pleased. 😇
Chocolate frog 🍫
The dark chocolate frog from the gift shop is vegan! 👏🏻
Cost 💰
Overall we spent approx. £130 on food for 2 people (2 hotdogs, 2 chips, 1 side, 1 butter beer, 2 shakes, 4 cakes to take-away & 2 chocolate frogs). Yes, it’s expensive but I doubt we’ll be coming back anytime soon so we’re glad we went all out. 😇
⭐️⭐️⭐️
3 starts as I appreciate the variety but I’ve given 4* to other fantastic places so I think I need to be fair. 😇

At least they have options for vegans - Edit
We tried the vegan chili hot dog — it was a bit too “meaty” for me, and also a little pricey. However, I was really surprised by how many vegan options they have, though I wouldn’t really call any of them healthy.

Expensive but lovely to be included - Edit
It’s always nice to not have to worry about vegan options when you go on trips (especially with kids). We got the vegan burgers happy meal for the kids which comes with a juice and fries for a manageable price. The adult sized food was a bit more expensive.

So glad to have the options - Edit
Expensive as you would expect and the food was very very basic, but I assume that is the case for all food there not just the vegan stuff. So exciting to have vegan butter beer even if it was kind of gross!🤗

Not bad! - Edit
Was pleasantly surprised with many vegan options. My partner got the vegan margarita pizza and I got Hagrid’s pumpkin patch salad with vegan salmon and spinach instead of rocket with a side of onion rings. Everything was really tasty and they were more than happy to use spinach instead of rocket (yuck) in the salad.

A few vegan options but you have to ask! - Edit
We had the vegan hotdog and fries (expensive and very average, horrible tasteless white bread rolls) and Butterbeer (delicious but very sweet, like cream soda with a whipped cream topping - surprised it was vegan - you can keep the cute plastic tankard it comes in) at the Backlot Café and a spooky-looking Death Eater Mask chocolate cake with cherry jam at the Frog Café (see pic). They also did a vegan burger and vegan chilli fries and a superfood salad at the Backlot Café and two vegan milkshakes at the Frog Café but they were very rich with huge chunks of cake on top so we didn’t try them). Staff not v clued up on vegan options and nothing labelled. In the shop you can get vegan dark chocolate frogs and every flavour jelly beans (if you like snot, earwax and dirt flavours among the nice ones!!)
Read morePros: Cool looking Death Eater Mask cake, Vegan Butterbeer!, Every Flavour Jelly Beans are vegan
Cons: Ridiculously expensive, Hot dogs were v average and fell apart, So much sugar! My kid went haywire afterwards

My partner treated me to an afternoon tea at Warner Bro Studios. I was worried it wouldn’t be worth it but it was absolutely amazing. Nothing was a cop out, it was all delicious! My favourite was the passion fruit chocolate butterfly and cheese and pickle sandwich.

Too expensive - Edit
Update from 202406 :
Read moreButterbeer is now vegan completely.
There are loads of vegan options (still expensive)
—
Original comment from 202205:
If it was not for the Harry Potter atmosphere I’d go for 3 stars only.
But in this magical place, I’d always good and refreshing to find some vegan options.
It is expensive tho (like expensive !).
I do not recommend at all the tea time, it’s 60£ for two and way to sugary, take the burger/pizza or other kind of option but don’t take the tea time.
The butterbeer on tap is vegan only if you ask without bubbling topping (it contains milk).

Pros: Harry Potter themed food, Quite a good bunch of vegan choices
Cons: Way too expensive , Tea time is not worth it at all

Lots of choice - Edit
There are loads of vegan options in the main restaurant (burger, hot dog, salad, wrap, loaded fries etc) and the cafe had vegan cakes, milkshakes etc which is great to have so many choices and they are all clearly labelled. We tried the burger and hot dog which were both nice but not amazing as they were a little dry and quite expensive. It is impressive that they have vegan versions of the majority of menu items here though.

Vegan Afternoon Tea - Edit
I was shocked when I saw this available online - truly a must if you're a vegan and Harry Potter fan. The afternoon tea is a 60£ add-on to your admission. You do however get quite the spread! I was really impressed with their vegan salmon bloomer and the feta envelope in particular. Also the desserts were delicious and so well presented! We had to take some sweets home with us because we were full! Our waiter was excellent and it truly felt like an exclusive dining experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the Warner Bros tour and furthermore, they have a non-vegan tea to accommodate everyone's preferences.
Read morePros: Exclusive vegan afternoon tea experience , Amazing presentation and atmosphere, Good service and a finer-dining experience
Cons: Expensive , Must reserve in advance , Busy during the day but quiet in late afternoon
