Best Japanese food around - Edit
They don’t have many vegan options but what they do have is excellent.

Options somewhat limited - Edit
There are several vegan appetizers but fewer options when it comes to main entrees. The server was very knowledgeable about vegan options which made me feel confident about ordering, but I do wish the items on the menu were labeled to indicate vegan. The seaweed salad was very good and the portion size was very large. The vegetable harumaki (fried spring rolls) was also good (but seasonal). I did not get the vegetable tempura which is basically the only vegan entree on the menu, but a friend ordered some as a side so I tried it. It’s difficult for me to imagine someone enjoying their entire dinner being the tempura battered vegetables. The server did mention they could prepare the vegetables in a different way (not listed on the menu) for people avoiding fried foods. I instead ordered Inari and avocado sushi. Both tasted great but the avocado roll was the tiniest roll I’ve had at a restaurant to the extent that other people at the table made jokes about how tiny and “cute” it was. Luckily, that seaweed salad was very filling. My companions enjoyed their non-vegan meals so maybe the rest of their menu is excellent enough that if you’re the only vegan at the table you’d just be happy to have options. Me? Well, there’s no pleasing me. I would like to see a vegan speciality roll or two added to the menu as well as a main entree with more excitement than veggie tempura. Oh, also, they had a lot of sake options. I didn’t try a cocktail because I’d already had drinks prior, but the options sounded very appealing. If the cocktails are as good as they sound, it might make for a 4-star drinks and light meal at the bar experience. The restaurant has expanded, taking over the space that used to be a small wine bar. We sat on the older side of the restaurant which was bustling, but I could see the new side of the restaurant being a chill, relaxed location for a date.

Absolutely delicious and surprisingly filling! - Edit
Appetizers and salads are a very good portion and between two people (both vegan) we split a few dishes!

Total between the two of us was $31 without the sake or $43 with the sake. (So $15.50 or $21.50 w/ sake per person). We were absolutely stuffed and had leftovers to take home.
Even better, another table misordered some inari so they dropped off the extras at our table!
Pros: Food is ridiculously good. Great portions too!, HOT TOWELS!!, Amazing sake, definitely give it a try!
